Ascot Coral Hurdle 2013
Saturday’s Ascot Race goers could be in for an unexpected treat after Willie Mullins revealed he is considering running last season’s unbeaten novice Annie Power, the horse who “could be anything”, in the Grade 2 Ascot Coral Hurdle.
After Annie Power’s name appeared on Tuesday among the seven entries for Saturday’s race, for which there were no additions when it was reopened on Monday, Mullins, who is enjoying a sensational run of form and saddled ten winners at the weekend, confirmed: “She was an original entry for the race when it closed and we’re happy with her and seriously considering running her.
Annie Power could be one of the future stars of the National Hunt game and is unbeaten in her seven races to date, signing off last season with a Grade One success at Fairyhouse and has been introduced into the market for the StanJames.com Champion Hurdle at 20/1 with Skybet.

Following a fall at Fakenham yesterday, Tony McCoy will have to pass the doctor to fulfil his rides at Warwick. His agent Dave Roberts doesn’t envisage any problems. “He’s fine and will be riding tomorrow,” he said.
Today’s flat selections come from Kempton Park in the early evening meeting. Yesterday our EW selections finished 2nd & 6th at 9/2 & 16/1 respectively….
Kempton 16.30…….PRECISION FIVE skipped an event last week to race here and is at his optimum trip today with 4 from 8 at this distance. A 30{70aeb3532cb26dbe277d25ea128ebb74de84b9bd22e1583b0eb1b73768e061f6} strike rate on the AWT suggest he will go close for Jim Crowley at a best priced EW value at a best priced 10/1 with Skybet. Xinbama is another who could go well at a bigger price after a pipeopener on the AWT at Lingfield 2 weeks ago. The dual Epsom winner didn’t get a clear run and finished 6th. Shelley Birkett gets a valuable 5lb allowance and a best priced 12/1 with Ladbrokes.
Kempton 18.30…..A fantastic Class 1 race for a midweek meeting and the market will be headed up by two obvious selections in Tullius and Graphic. However for EW value we will look to SOLAR DEITY. Marco Botti’s bay colt didn’t get a clear run when favourite at Lingfield last time out and can make the frame here at a best priced best priced 14/1 with Bet Victor
Kempton 19.30…..Luca Cumani’s Deserted will be favourite for this at a best current offer of 3/1 with Bet Victor though has something to prove on this surface. GRENDISAR has no such problems with a near 50{70aeb3532cb26dbe277d25ea128ebb74de84b9bd22e1583b0eb1b73768e061f6} success record at track, trip and surface. Back on the AWT after two indeterminate runs on mud heaps, is good EW value at 8/1 with Seanniemac.
We are showing nearly 50{70aeb3532cb26dbe277d25ea128ebb74de84b9bd22e1583b0eb1b73768e061f6} ROI for our Full Seasons Flat Selection Results….check them out!
