Celtic v Rangers: League Cup Semi-Final

Celtic v Rangers Enhanced odds

It’s a rare Glasgow derby today with Celtic v Rangers in the Scottish League Cup Semi Final from Hampden Park…

We bring a massively enhanced odds offer above where you can get an astonishing 3/1 (4.0) about Celtic with the current odds somewhere around 2/7!!!

Charlie Mulgrew, who continues his recovery from injury, is Celtic’s only absentee as they face Rangers in their Scottish League Cup semi-final.

Fellow midfielder Stefan Johansen is available despite stitches in a cut above his eye, while winger Aleksandar Tonev is free from suspension.

Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni remains on African Nations Cup duty with Tunisia and goalkeeper Cammy Bell remains sidelined with a shoulder problem.

It will be Rangers first game since 10 January following an abandonment against Hearts and last weekend’s Championship visit to Cowdenbeath also falling foul of the weather.

Premiership leaders Celtic go into the match at Hampden having won 14 of their last 16 domestic outings

Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen: “It is a semi-final in the Cup and a big game, so everyone is looking forward to it.

“I have never played in this type of game before and it will be tough game with a big crowd, but it will be fun.

“I don’t know if we are the favourites. It’s a cup game and anything can happen.

“You can feel in the city that a big game is coming up. You hear it wherever you go – you hear it in the grocery store.

Rangers striker Kris Boyd: “I do think we are of a level right now of the Premiership teams we have beaten and over the course of a season we could match them, but I don’t think we could match Celtic.

“We understand where we are, but you just need to look at the FA Cup at the weekend. You can be an underdog and go and win games.

“We feel we have got good players and we can cause them problems. We have a group of hard working people who will go there and give our best and hopefully that is good enough to get us over the finish line, but we’ll not get carried away.

“We need to go out and match them and hopefully, with that bit of luck, we can find ourselves in the final. But, if we don’t go out and match them and we don’t perform to a level where we can stop them playing, we are going to be in for a long afternoon.”

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton believes his former club will breeze past Old Firm rivals Rangers in their Scottish League Cup semi-final on Sunday.

The two Glasgow giants are preparing to go head-to-head at Hampden Park this weekend with a place in the final up for grabs.

Sutton, 41, believes Scottish Premiership champions Celtic will have little problems in getting past Gers, who are currently 13 points off frontrunners Hearts in the Championship table.

He was quoted by BBC Sport, saying: “The score can be anything. Rangers are in disarray.

“When you strip it all back and look at the 11 players starting, Rangers will not get anywhere near Celtic.

“Celtic will dominate possession, they will dominate territory.

“This game is going to be the most one-sided derby beforehand, but in my era, you could never tell which way it was going to go.”
