A cracking winner with Stan Bowring’s CLIFFCAKE.

Went on the drift through the day going off at 22’s 🙂 Ben Robinson had him smartly out looking for Ugo Gregory to track. Hunted that one down to win on the line with some of you getting 36’s on the exchange before the off.

 

For those on the  2022/23 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank stands at £1174.28 with current full stakes at £14.68 EW with over a 40% win/place rate. 

The 2023 Turf bank stands at +6.5 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 38% win/place rate.

Today’s Selections

 

Beverley 15.10

A four paying place 7f to consider. Ugo Gregory made favourite on the back of three decent showings.

Nonetheless, despite being well handicapped hasn’t been seen to best effect on quicker going.

Same can be said of Special Mayson so will look to something at a price.

Opting for Stan Bowring’s CLIFFCAKE who is relatively lightly raced.

Two outings this term, first on an unsuitable G/S soft but LTO made some positive headway before folding at the death over the mile.

Back to the 7f is a Class 4 winner last June from 3 above this rating. Indeed has done all winning to date pre-July and 8-4-4 at the trip on turf and AW.
