We’re sounding like an old record….boo hoo…..nothing again today with Warwick gone….all NH off.

Wetherby’s already succumbed on Friday that leaves us just the possibility of Fontwell before the weekend!!

There’s speed ratings for Wolves on the AW for anyone wanting a dabble tomorrow.

As ever, please drop us a line at feedback@always-back-winners.com with any questions or issues.

Stay dry and BOL (Best Of Luck!)

2.10 Voted Best Small Midlands Racecourse 2017 Handicap (7) 5f21y

Timeform Top Rated:
71 6. GORGEOUS Tony Carroll Non Runner
69 2. MIGHTY ZIP Lisa Williamson Raul Da Silva
67 3. CULLODEN Shaun Harris Charlie Bennett (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Mighty Zip won eased down at Chelmsford last month and may well be able to shrug off his penalty here with Raul Da Silva in the saddle once again. Culloden and La Fortuna are feared most.

2.40 Race And Rest At The Holiday Inn Novice Stakes (5) 5f21y

Timeform Top Rated:
98p 7. FLYING SPARKLE Michael Bell Cameron Noble (5)
89 6. DANDY’S BEANO Kevin Ryan Kevin Stott
85 4. MIDSUMMER KNIGHT K. R. Burke Ben Curtis

Analyst’s Verdict:
Flying Sparkle looks all set for a profitable campaign this season and has been found a race she can win on her return before moving up in class. Midsummer Knight is the obvious alternative in this field, though Dragstone Rock ran well on his debut and could surprise a few dropped back to this trip by trainer Richard Spencer.

3.15 wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap (3) 6f20y

Timeform Top Rated:
100 2. CALDER PRINCE Tom Dascombe Paddy Pilley (3)
99 1. DOUGAN David Evans David Egan (3)
98 4. LEXINGTON TIMES Ruth Carr Jack Garritty

Analyst’s Verdict:
Fast Track ran his best race for some time when a close up third at Kempton last month and if he can repeat that here then he may well take some stopping. Calder Prince has the benefit of Paddy Pilley’s claim and could follow the selection home, though Dougan is beginning to look very well handicapped and shouldn’t be dismissed lightly either.

3.45 Hotel & Horizons Fillies’ Handicap (5) 1m1f104y

Timeform Top Rated:
92 2. CHAMPAGNE PINK K. R. Burke Clifford Lee (3)
91 5. SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES Jennie Candlish Joe Fanning
89 3. VOI Conrad Allen Nicola Currie (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Champagne Pink has been in consistent form this season, with a close up second to Sunshineandbubbles over C&D last month and she can reverse those placings on these revised terms. Voi looks the each-way call and could well sneak in to third for Newmarket trainer Conrad Allen.

4.20 Kaiser Chiefs At Wolverhampton Racecourse – September 1st Handicap (6) 1m1f104y

Timeform Top Rated:
82 3. RUNAIOCHT Brian Forsey Jimmy Quinn
81 1. BERLUSCA David Loughnane Nicola Currie (5)
75 4. BUONAROTTI BOY Sophie Leech Joe Fanning

Analyst’s Verdict:
Runaiocht stands out in this field on his recent fourth at Kempton and as that was his first run for trainer Brian Forsey there may well be more to come. Berlusca is a tentative suggestion for the forecast off top-weight though if Buonarotti Boy can transfer his better hurdling form to the flat then he can lay down a challenge as well.

4.50 On The Hoof Dining In The Hotel Restaurant Handicap (4) 1½m51y

Timeform Top Rated:
96p 3. BAGHDAD Mark Johnston Andrew Mullen
95 4. SOTOMAYOR Richard Hannon Tom Marquand
91p 1. ADAMS PARK Roger Varian Andrea Atzeni

Analyst’s Verdict:
Baghdad signed off last season with a win over shorter at Chelmsford and, with the promise of more to come as his stamina is now drawn out further, he can follow up. Volevo Lui and Adams Park rate next best in that order.

5.20 Book Tickets At wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap (6) 7f36y

Timeform Top Rated:
75 9. MADAME JO JO Sarah Hollinshead William Cox (5)
72 2. ZAPATEADO Karen George Tom Marquand
72 3. GHOST John Quinn Ben Robinson (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Ghost put it all together to open her account at Newcastle 4 weeks ago, and given she remains unexposed, is fancied to defy a 3 lb higher mark. Zapateado may provide the biggest threat, though Madame Jo Jo and Team Showme will not be far away either in what could be a close fought contest.
