Another ‘hit the bar’ moment as yesterday’s selection, Hit The Highway was done a length by Norman the Red. Despite our recent excellent run of winners, we also picking up a fair amount of bridesmaid slots that have also kept the profits going in the right direction.

The weather seems to have approached normality and we have a decent selection of racing to pull something out of the bag for Saturday and just over a week away from flipping to the flat, there’s Timeform from Kempton below for anyone looking to add selections from the AW.

Fakenham’s a poor looking card and we’ll leave that one alone……Uttoxeter’s 16.15 is the only real offer of any EW betting but there’s a few valuable C2’s at Kelso this afternoon, featuring one’s we have previously backed in Yala Enki & Seldom Inn (15.00),Total Assets in the (15.35) and Craiganboy (16.10)

Our members selection’s are below and as ever, please drop us a line at feedback@always-back-winners.com with any questions.

1.30 Betfred TV/British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (4) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
88p 7. LIHOU David Evans Fran Berry
87 5. JOHN BETJEMAN Bill Turner Jason Watson (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Lihou‘s fourth-placed finish in last month’s Brocklesby was worth marking up given he had no cover throughout, yet he still managed to make his presence felt, being beaten just over 2 lengths. He’s very much the type to improve for that experience and earns the vote. Newcomers Dixieland and Sir Ox are also worth a second look, while John Betjeman is clearly very sharp and should be thereabouts.

2.05 Betfred Mobile Handicap (2) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
122 2. JUMIRA BRIDGE Robert Cowell Jim Crowley
121 3. A MOMENTOFMADNESS Charles Hills William Buick
120 6. BOWSON FRED Michael Easterby Nathan Evans

Analyst’s Verdict:
Jumira Bridge was largely progressive for Roger Varian last season, and having joined a yard adept with sprinting types, he is fancied to continue the good work this term. Last year’s winner A Momentofmadness and the in-form Tomily are a couple of others to consider.

2.40 Betfred ‘Supports Jack Berry House’ Handicap (2) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
124 2. MAZZINI James Fanshawe George Wood (3)
123 6. RAVEN’S LADY Marco Botti Andrea Atzeni
122 4. RAUCOUS Robert Cowell Jim Crowley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Raucous is potentially on a good mark on his return/first outing for a yard that does well with sprinters, so could be the answer. Mazzini and Raven’s Lady both shaped well on their most recent start and they head the dangers.

3.15 Betfred ‘Home of Goals Galore’ Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes (Listed) (1) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
128 8. SMART CALL Sir Michael Stoute Jim Crowley
123 2. HUNAINA H-F. Devin Alexis Badel
119p 3. LA FIGLIA Jeremy Noseda James Doyle

Analyst’s Verdict:
Smart Call was highly tried when showing smart form in defeat last season and this looks a good opening for her on return. Hunaina is still improving judged on her latest success at Chantilly, while the twice-raced La Figlia remains open to further improvement after her excellent fourth in a listed event at Newmarket in the autumn.

3.50 Betfred ‘Treble Odds On Lucky 15’S’ Fillies’ Conditions Stakes (2) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
98p 1. DATHANNA Charlie Appleby William Buick
97 2. CROWN VALLARY K. R. Burke P. J. McDonald
97 3. MODEL Richard Hannon Tom Marquand

Analyst’s Verdict:
Dathanna progressed steadily throughout her juvenile campaign and likely remains capable of better still. She can make a winning return. Crown Vallary may give her most to think about.

4.25 Betfred ‘Like Us On Facebook’ Conditions Stakes (2) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
103p 2. KINGS SHIELD John Gosden Oisin Murphy
102p 3. LAWN RANGER Michael Attwater Kieren Fox
101 1. JELLMOOD Marco Botti Daniel Muscutt

Analyst’s Verdict:
Lawn Ranger has improved from race to race in a trio of starts thus far and likely has more to offer yet. He is taken to score in a potentially-informative contest. Kings Shield rates the principal danger.

5.00 Betfred ‘Watch Sky Sports In Our Shops’ Queen’s Prize Handicap (2) 1m7f218y

Timeform Top Rated:
116 12. GAVLAR William Knight Callum Shepherd
114 10. CHAMPAGNE CHAMP Rod Millman Oisin Murphy
112 4. FIRST MOHICAN Alan King Hollie Doyle

Analyst’s Verdict:
Champagne Champ posted several solid efforts last term and has been in good form over hurdles this winter. He gets the vote in a wide-open finale. Author’s Dream and Inn The Bull complete the shortlist.
