Eponina wins….BOG @ 13/2

Back to back winners as we called it right with Theodore Ladd giving a typical from the front on Michael Appleby’s EPONINA. He booted him home by 3 lengths from John Sullivan on Tim Easterby’s Make Me.

A few of you dropped us a line having had £33.98 straight forecast – well done you guys, albeit we’ll happily bank the win only 13/2 we got about the winner 🙂

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….it’s a near 35% win/place strike rate and our bank is now £1084.18 with current stakes £13.55

Today’s Selections

Nottingham 16.00

Yesterday’s selection is quickly re-routed and comments as per yesterday.

It’s been a slightly disappointing return for Theodore Ladd this season as we’d really expected to kick on from his AW apprentices title. However, Mick Appleby’s stable apprentice is still one to note at the sprint trips and gets back up top of a previous winning charge this afternoon.

EPONINA won under him on seasonal debut at Chester over the 8f in Class 4, and indeed all his wins have come at this trip.

His last 3 runs have seen improving RPR’s back to that winning mark and is just 3lb higher than when scoring on soft going in that Chester race in June. He also ran very well at Thirsk LTO as runner up to Mick Easterby’s Harvest Day so should be near the premises in this one.

Hopefully, he will have the edge on Monday’s selected non-runner, Make Me who gets the assistance of a certain Mr Sullivan up top.

We’ll back the young pretender Mr Ladd to come out on top and there’s a best 11/2 with Betfair that we’ll take this morning at a track where Appleby excels.
