Today’s Racing News

We’ve just got one selection to consider today from today’s Epsom card…….

Epsom 20.55…..

PHARMACEUTICAL didn’t get a clear run when third over 1m at Haydock last time out. He’s proven over a similar track when winning over a sharp 7f on debut at Lingfield in January.

Back at 7f he looks decent value at a best 4/1 with SkyBet this evening.

This weekend’s Lancashire Oaks Betting….

LUSTROUS 17.00

ARABIAN COMET 6.00

ALTESSE 9.00.

Today’s Epsom Timeform…

6.15 hnfproperty.com Handicap (5) 1½m10y

Timeform Top Rated:
91 1. PRAIRIE TOWN Tony Carroll William Carson
90 6. MAY BE SOME TIME Stuart Kittow Martin Dwyer
89 8. MAGNOLIA RIDGE Kristin Stubbs Royston Ffrench

Analyst’s Verdict:
Hurdles winners Prairie Town and May Be Some Time look the pair to focus on. The latter arrives here on the back of a success at Chepstow, but the former is unexposed, especially around this sort of trip, so is marginally preferred. Censorius should give his running, too.

6.50 EBF Stallions landlordinvestmentshow.co.uk Median Auction Maiden Stakes (5) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
85p 4. MACHINE LEARNER Michael Bell Jamie Spencer
79p 1. DALEELAK Mark Johnston Dane O’Neill
67 3. HARLEQUIN ROCK Mick Channon Silvestre De Sousa

Analyst’s Verdict:
With Mark Johnston’s juveniles in such good form, Daleelak is taken to build on his pleasing debut at Ripon a fortnight ago, by getting off the mark at the second time of asking. Machine Learner will be a tough nut to crack after his promising racecourse bow at Sandown, while a market move for Tony Curtis may be significant.

7.25 followtheleaders.co.uk Handicap (3) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
102 3. SHINGLE Ed de Giles Silvestre De Sousa
101 4. DESERT COMMAND Andrew Balding Liam Keniry
100 2. MUNFALLET David Brown Hector Crouch (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Desert Command was found a soft race when making all in a first-time visor at Salisbury last month, but it would be unwise to knock that effort as he’s fairly lightly raced for a 5-y-o sprinter. Fellow last-time-out winner Munfallet is clearly in good order, though there are a couple of lurkers in the field, notably Swiss Cross and Supplicant.

7.55 EBF Stallions Landlord Investor Magazine Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (4) 1½m10y

Timeform Top Rated:
85 4. STUBBINS John Gosden Frankie Dettori
82p 5. SYRDARYA Ralph Beckett Jim Crowley
81p 3. MONASADA Sir Michael Stoute Dane O’Neill

Analyst’s Verdict:
Monasada built on her pleasing Wolverhampton debut effort, when a narrow second at Catterick last month. With further progress likely, she can go one better this time. Stubbins disappointed on slow ground last time, but is the main danger back on a sound surface.

8.25 Kathleen Grieve Lucky Thirteen Memorial Handicap (Qualifier) (4) 1¼m18y

Timeform Top Rated:
90 9. BANDITRY Michael Bell Jamie Spencer
89 8. TRIPLE DIP Mark Johnston Joe Fanning
88 2. FORCEFUL APPEAL Simon Dow Nicky Mackay

Analyst’s Verdict:
Dandy was resurgent when making all to regain the winning thread at Chepstow last week. He was successful off a higher mark at Bath last summer and should make a bold bid to follow-up under his penalty. Ocean Applause, North America and Banditry are others entitled to respect.

8.55 Buy To Let Hot Spots Handicap (4) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
98 6. PHARMACEUTICAL Charles Hills Jim Crowley
96? 2. LIBERTY JACK Jim Boyle Dane O’Neill
95 1. OUTER SPACE Jamie Osborne Timmy Murphy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Pharmaceutical made a most encouraging start on turf when a keeping-on third off this mark at Haydock in June and may prove too strong for Subversive, who enhanced his solid profile when fourth at Chester on Friday. East Coast Lady may fare best of the remainder.
