Friday Newsletter – 10th May 2019

Last day of racing at Chester with Ascot Nottingham and Ripon to back that up. However, despite some nice handicaps it’s a strange old day looking for something with value.

Past winners, Acclaim the Nation goes for Eric Alston at Ripon this evening (19.30), he’s gone for Tom Eaves in the saddle and only offers lumping value around 13/8 in a 7 runner.

Likewise, we’ve backed Sheepscar Lad twice and she goes in the race prior (19.00) at odds that don’t warrant EW money. However for the lumpers amongst you, should be able to go close with 5lb claimer Faye McManoman up top on around. Danger may come from one of our big priced winners from a couple of years back in Dark Defender. Longer term members will remember a bit of fun we had with him when with Keith Dalgleish:)

Nottingham’s (19.50) has our early season winner, Give It Some Teddy attempting a 3 timer but on for those lumping around 3’s. Duran Fentiman will have to bring him with a well timed run as usual but on a course he’s 0-32 at hardly appeals as any value and we’ll keep those winnings pocketed.
