Friday Racing News brings four selections following our disappointing day yesterday with several withdrawals leaving us just one runner in KASTINI who finished 2nd…
Our main fancy was REMOTE in the Brigadier Gerard where, short on quantity following the withdrawal of Hillstar and our selected, the outsider of three Sheikhzayedroad nearly sprung a surprise!

Sharestan, was backed heavily for Kieren Fallon, but Sheikhzayedroad had not read the script and despite being last at the furlong pole, Martin Lane urged more effort and in the last strides nearly got up to provide a shock, with Sharestan just hanging on.
REMOTE is one of our pre-season ’12 to follow’ selections, but we’ll now have to look out for future declarations and for today consider our notebook horses……

Newmarket 14.30……LITTLE SHAMBLES lost her maiden tag last time out when running a little green but looks sure to progress. The form of that race hasn’t really given us any strong pointers with the 2nd and 3rd home failing to win next time out so it’s only a small EW recommendation with a best priced 9/1 with BetVictor. John Gosden’s Much Promise is one to look out for on her seasonal appearance after impressing back end last season and market moves could be a pointer?
Newmarket 15.40……LIFE PARTNER was in our notebook last year and looked well on his return to action. Charlie Appleby’s charge is an EW saver backable 5/1 with PaddyPower.
Brighton 16.40……SONNETATION won three times last year and only 3lb higher in the weights from his last victory on the turf. He’s 3 from 7 at this trip and is the obvious ‘horses for courses pick. Watch out for Orders From Rome, who is 13lb down from his last winning weight 2 years back. On a handy mark, the only thing against him is that he’s not proven at the trip? Our selection a best EW chance at 11/2 with SkyBet.
Finally to tonight…
Catterick 20.45……..CAVALIERI is a notebook selection who didn’t stay the 1m 6f trip last time out and is better suited here. Eva Moscrop gets a valuable 7lb and drawn in 9 shold have plenty of room to settle and deliver a challenge to see at least a place. for the C&D winner at a best 6/1 with BetButler.
