G-Force for Prix de l’Abbaye
Our Premium Newsletter advice G-Force maybe off to Longchamp for the Prix de l’Abbaye after storming to victory in the Sprint Cup at Haydock Park.
G Force, under Danny Tudhope stormed a high-class field at Haydock to take the Group 1 race, holding off the challenge of Gordon Lord Byron by three-quarters of as length.
O’Meara was delighted with the performance, turning his attentions to a possible French date in early October at Longchamp.
“We thought he was good from day one. He hasn’t had the rub of the green a couple of times this year.
“He didn’t have much luck in running in the Nunthorpe, but we had every faith he’d be able to go and do it one day. We’re delighted he’s managed to do it today.
“I’ll have to speak to the guys and see what they want to do. There’s the Abbaye, but it looks like he’s better over six (furlongs) than five.”
G Force can now be backed at 7/1 to win the Prix de l’Abbaye
Sole Power and Music Master, at 6/1 and at 14/1 respectively.
