Horse Racing Selections – 16th September 2022

We end the week with the 2nd day of the Ayr Gold Cup Festival and the feature handicap sprint being the Bronze Cup.

We haven’t done bad up here in of late ….that can soon change 🙂

Outside of that there’s two divisions of the Rems Group ‘Justin Forbes’ Handicap (16.20) & (16.50). Tim Easterby holds a strong hand in both of those but with 6 paying places, we’ll concentrate on the sprint.

Ayr’s usually a fair place in terms of the draw and you can win from any side. With the stalls in the centre they can split either way and the far side seemed to have it yesterday when Prospect ran up a paying placed 5th and the first home of the stands side.

  1. A bit of half stakes (for me) shrapnel back in the bank. Nice one Gary! 1st and last place haha 🤣

  2. Nice one, you must have shrapnel overspilling your pockets 😀

    • I wish haha – your wins pay for Snowy losses 🤣 hes -1% ROI since Jan.

      • He is a winter NH tipster and his prices have gone up for Summer NH which is akin to A/W flat racing. I tend to draw stumps with flat racing at the end of September and draw stumps with NH at the end of April. Whether i rejoin Snowy at his current prices is doubtful. However, he does know the winter game.

  3. Thanks Gary,
    Looking forward to tomorrow’s selections.
Your knowledge of these 6F cup races at Ayr takes some beating.

I can only go back three years but those Three years:
    7 selections, 3 wins another 2 placed.
At an SP of 25/1,28/1 and today’s price. 8/1.
    Best of luck for tomorrow

    • Yes Ian, let’s hope lightning strikes again. How are you getting on as I believe you bank after the first £1k of profit. Did you take that in June and start agian? 🙂

  4. Thanks Gary great win and boost to the bank.
