Horse Racing Selections – 19th August 2019

Racing from Catterick this afternoon and an evening meeting from Windsor.

Looking at latter meet, there’s just one tracker going in the (18.30) with Stuart Williams’ Indian Raj lining up. He entered our notes when running up 4th at Ascot in May as one who hadn’t had much racing and impressed on 2nd handicap run off 76.

It took him a couple of races following that before he got off the mark at Sandown LTO as a short priced favourite. He’s still a lightly raced five-year-old and sure to be a warm order at lumping prices with with Oisin Murphy up top.

Yesterday we hit our third consecutive ‘crossbar’ as Penny Pot Lane ran up second to our previous winner and favourite Inexes, whilst intro notes mention for Silvestre de Sousa did indeed meet with Perfection as he ran up a lumping priced 5/2 winner 🙂

We’ve got selections from Catterick this afternoon.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….it’s a 38% win/place strike rate and our bank is now £1049.51 with current stakes £13.12

Today’s Horse Racing Selections

Our third ‘notch of the bar’ and a bit more added shrapnel 🙂

Catterick 15.00

Mr Greenlight is in our tracker but at just wipes yer face prices and having a quite a bit of racing of late we’ll look outside of the obvious favourite.

We may have missed out a tad with Jason Hart up top of Inexes yesterday but he looks to have a solid looking chance here with his shortest price of his three runners.

SPIRIT OF ZEBEDEE goes well here and that coincides with him being one who likes to race prominently.

We backed him LTO but was totally outgunned by a couple of Tim Easterby 3yo’s when under apprentice Robbie Downey.

Back at this track he should be a different kettle of fish with a near 75% place record, that also mirrors his 6f form.

He gets a nice low draw and off 48 is 2 below his last winning mark and does operate mid 60’s on the AW.

He looks quite well in on his previous H2H with B Fifty Two and should confirm that July race form despite what the market says – hopefully 🙂

There’s a best 7/1 across the patch this morning.

Catterick 15.00 – Spirit Of Zebedee

Catterick 16.30

Hey…we do give JPS some stick here but one who does go well underneath him is Tim Easterby’s OUR CHARLIE BROWN.

Catterick’s sharp down hill tight track does throw up it’s fair share of course specialists and this is one of them.

He may like it a bit quicker but Jimmy Sullivan has won with him on easier surfaces.

There’s a best 13/2 with bet365 this morning.

Catterick 16.30 – Our Charlie Brown
