Horse Racing Selections – 1st October 2021

Friday’s flat racing comes from Ascot on the turf and an evening meet at Gosforth on the All-Weather.

It’s also the 1st October and the transitional month to exit the turf and into winter ‘sandbagging mode’. Being only 3rd season on the AW it’s difficult to know how Octobers results are going to stack up. On past two seasons it hasn’t been the best of starts, though notched with winners at the end of the month to get us +ve?

Slow so far, we were on the wrong Quinn last night despite a decent run from Miss Nay Never one outside of the slots.

I will dribble them in as the turf comes to a close and hopefully we keep on an even keel at least. Frustratingly, Catch My Breath hacked up at 3’s yesterday after our LTO EW punt about him. I know some of you back outside of ‘official selections’ and follow those on next 3 runs, so hopefully a decent return for those.

There’s a sole selection below and back in the morning  just before 0.00 am

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £1143.10 and current full stakes, unless advised, £14.29 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at +67.36 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 36% win/place rate.

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.
