First day of York’s Ebor meeting on the Knavesmire with just the opening 5 furlong Class 2 handicap of note to us and anything we have in our tracker.

Dakota Gold heads the betting and hardly unsurprisingly given his easy win in the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon on Saturday when we backed Summerghand. Michael Dods does have an excellent York record, as indeed does the bay gelding with 1-2-0-1 and is due up a further 3lb following the race coming in with just the 5lb penalty.
