Horse Racing Selections – 22nd December 2021

Wednesday sees two all-weather meetings before the break until Boxing Day.

Cards from Wolves and Southwell go and a couple of selections to hopefully bring some festive cheer. Overall it’s been an ‘annus horribilis’ year – probably should stick an anus in front of that as it’s been real ‘bad ass’ 🙁

Fortunately most of you are long termers and appreciate the up’s downs and vagaries of the sport and the class we are in 🙂 It was possibly going to be a case of ‘after the Lord Mayor’s Show’, following the £10k last year. Depending on which way you account it, April to April or Jan to Jan, we have still been in small profit. Around 15pts since the last challenge 🙁

However, no excuses – tipping up at less than the required 40% win/place has made this a real struggle and your continued support and sometimes boisterous banter & comments in the forum most welcome 🙂

Looking at today, Custard The Dragon goes in the (18.00) at Southwell. Loathe to tip up wipes yer face prices but would take any 5/1 winner at this moment 🙂 Up against Mr Wainwrights Dick Datchery who we have in the tracker at a big price but difficult to fancy up in grade off the back of that last run. Custard should be around the slots in that one.

However, am opting for one at a better price in the (19.30) and also one at Wolves.

It just remains to wish everyone a Happy & Safe Christmas – I hope Ian appreciates the card at the top 🙂

See you on Boxing Day with Wolves.

  1. Merry chrristmas Gary! I think it was the summer with so much 2nd places. Some winners instead and we would talk about other things 😏

But hey, of course I will stick with you, keep on and have some good days with your family. Stay safe

    • Thanks Kevin. Indeed we did take some hits with all those 2nds and was concerned at the time. Hopefully turn a corner soon. Best to you and yours in DE.😃

  2. What a superb picture at the top of the page. Poor old Keith says its, not a good 2021 and the herd master calls it an ‘Annus Horribilis’. Well any tipster who can make a profit over a year is no mug. 15 pts profit is not to be sniffed at. Now if you are looking for instant gratification then this is not the site for you. Perhaps you should take up Peters offer as he seems to win most days. Whether that’s tipping horses or a game of Escalado (loved it) i am not certain……. I can just see old Keith with his partner under the duvet. Wham bang over in a minute and their is his instant gratification. On a good day i can manage 90 seconds. Peter in sunny Spain is a marathon man and doesn’t need the aid of the little blue pill.He gets his angles right, watches the moon and stars and makes sure he is drawn on the right side of the bed. Top man Peter. Seriously, have a great Christmas and a prosperous new year. Sleep well mooses and be kind to us in 2022

  3. Merry Christmas Gary & all the members. Have a great Christmas break and hoping you come back with a ‘Bad Ass’ treble (that’s good in my dialect) 🤣.

Cheers to the Mooses!! and good luck later with the races 🍀🍀
