Horse Racing Selections – 22nd July 2021
Thursday’s flat racing comes from Yarmouth and Sandown on the afternoon with an evening card at Donny.
At Sandown, a couple of trackers go. In the (13.00) with our AW winner Spurofthemoment, despite William Buick up top and a nice price the call is to oppose with better form on that surface and, Sandown noted for a low draw in the sprints, has Oisin Murphy on at lumping prices with a well drawn 3yo?
The other tracker being David Menuisier’s Russian Virtue going in the (15.55). On at lumping prices, was noted early season at Donny when 5th/18 denied a decent run. Flopped when made favourite NTO but has run solidly since. Last term wasn’t far of John Gosden’s Naswarry at Newbury last year from levels, who won NTO and now rates 86. Just a 9 runner and a few yards out of form and course specialist Andaleep yet to look anything like this term, the trainer may have found a decent opportunity to lose that maiden tag with William Buick up top.
There’s a suggestion for the SkyBet extra paying race at Donny tonight if you can get on 🙁
Back in the morning around 8.30am.
