Horse Racing Selections – 24th September 2021

Friday’s racing on the flat comes from York, HQ and Haydock.

Not a whole lot going to post at the latter. Indeed a sole tracker out going to post in the (16.20) that’s a C3 7 runner. Star Shield is a frustrating type who likes to come from off the pace. Places at near 50% on the turf and as a consequence his mark rarely shifts and reminds me of Donncha who we had nibbles about a couple of years back. Always came with a late flourish….and mostly too late! Today Jamie Spencer takes over from Danny Tudhope with 4 rare rides for the yard. He has been known for his timing on the hold ups but in a 7 runner with ‘keep the powder dry’ 🙂

At Newcastle, the summer exploits of Lord Of The Glen and Brinitonboris haven’t gone unnoticed. They look certain to score within the next few AW runs from these marks and on at lumping prices in the (17.30) & (18.00) respectively, will wait on a subsequent run 🙁

Selections for today are below and back in the morning just before 9.00 am

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £1089.86 and current full stakes, unless advised, £13.62 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at +62.46 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 37% win/place rate.

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.
