Horse Racing Selections – 29th September 2021

Wednesdays cards come from Catterick, Nottingham & Kempton on the AW under the lights.

Not a whole load at Catterick where possibly Mews House looks one for the lumpers in the (17.20). Gets top amateur Scott Walker up top for in form Grant Tuer. At Nottingham there’s some rare Class 2 series finals (15.00 & 15.30). In the former our LTO winner Lezardrieux goes at wipes yer face prices. With 5 paying slots, there’s no reason this one shouldn’t be around those looking open to improvement. However, new pilot Oliver Stammers, despite a decent claimer has little grade, track or distance success on his portfolio. There’s one below in that one for a half stakes snifter along with one on the AW 🙂

A nice full stakes winner yesterday with Big Les. Ran out an easy winner under Jason Hart and back challenge +ve 🙂

Two selections below and back in the morning  just before 8.30 am

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £1135.12 and current full stakes, unless advised, £14.19 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at +62.76 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 36% win/place rate.

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.

  1. I fear getting him to start at 20:20 is not the secret to success when the actual race kicks off at 20:00 Gary 😉

  2. I feel in a good mood after last night so i will make up a little story…… In a room we have two of the greatest brains in horse racing. On one side we have Mr Nick Mazur. Take it from me this man knows the time of day. I had the pleasure of listening to his pearls on my good friends site SP2A. It didn’t take good old Ian (SP2A) long to send him packing)….. In the other corner we have Mr Peter Higgins. No introduction needed here. The room is packed with form books, draw analysis, Beano, Dandy, Old Moores almanack (did anyone ever buy that), Russel Grants charts, the hubble telescope, vet reports, trainer reports, Vogue, Woman’s weekly. Above their heads are replicas of the nine planets(have to count poor old Pluto). Now after several hours of study they come up with a selection. Unfortunately the horse fell out of the back of the T.V in the race. Nick blamed Peter and Peter blamed Nick. The draw had turned on its head said Peter. No there had been a few drops of rain when the horses were in the paddock said Nick and the race started two minutes late !. Something went wrong. Oh bloody hell that moose that Gary tipped of ABW won the race. His luck will run out soon because we have forgot more than he knows. No doubt that smart arse Roddison will be commenting as well. Have a good day everybody

  3. Ian i could tell you some tales about racing, from when i was good friends with a Newmarket trainer who actually won the European free handicap at Newmarket, but im sure that you will already will know that.

  4. You must have missed what i said recently Peter. What i know about racing you could put on the back of a postage stamp. i leave it to people like Gary who delivers the goods. i think i am going to call him the Postman. Captain Hindsight is your nickname and mine is smart arse. I like them.

  5. A nice Easterby 1-2-3 🙂
