Horse Racing Selections – 31st May 2022

Tuesday’s racing on the flat comes from Thirsk.

There’s a couple of cracking handicaps over there to have a go at with extra paying places.

Another winner with Jason Hart booting home Boudica Bay yesterday. That one has served us well and a handy treble landed in the last week 🙂

  1. Knocking these 2nds out 🤔

    • Good effort from running wild – I got quite excited;

      Fair effort from Just Hiss too, shame there wasn’t anything left in the tank?

      • Just Hiss broke well and coming into the straight, with the rail to help, we were looking good. then, for some reason, David Allen moved off the rail and went down the middle. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing as he surrendered the golden highway. I don’t need to tell you where the first three finished.

  2. I can’t have that Peter. There was no golden highway at Thirsk last night. Winners over the sprint distances didn’t go over to the far side. They mainly came down the middle or even stands side. On the round track in most races horses kept away from the far rail and only went over in the last 100 yards which they tend to do at most meetings. Just Hiss just wasn’t good enough and was beaten around 3 lengths. He possibly went a bit too quick too early. If he had stayed on the far rail it would have made little difference to the result imo. All about opinions of course.

    • Yes opinions indeed,so Her Majesty has her platinum Jubilee this weekend so will she be celebrating a winner i see that on Saturday she has five entries with steal a march entered in two races call me an old fool but think that she may have a winner

    • Ian i think you need specksavers

    • Ian
      WINNER DRAWN I
      SECOND DRAWN 4
      THIRD DRAWN 2
      JUST HISS DRAWN 3, AND AT THE FINISH HE IS EIGHT WIDE

  3. Aye, i am afraid the old eyes and mind are not what they were Peter. It’s funny how you have just picked the last race to say it was a golden highway. If you look at the other races with seven or more runners i think it indicates there was pace all over the track. First race first three drawn 3,15.6… second race winner drawn 7 of 7… third race first three drawn 10,9,15. …fourth race first three drawn 8,2,4…. fifth race first three drawn 12,6,13…. Then at bloody 8:15 pm somebody gets the bloody flymo out and cuts a golden highway out over by the far rail. That’s racing Peter….. Enjoy the jubilee.. Not for me i cannot support a privileged family who shield a paedophile. ‘Vive La Rvolution’.
