Horse Racing Selections – 7th January 2021

Thursday’s all weather cards come from a lunchtime meet at Southwell and under the lights at Wolves.

The card at Southwell is a low on numbers going to post and not a whole load of value. Slowmo looks one for the lumpers in the (13.15) and frustratingly one we missed out on at a price. He’s been in the tracker since the start of the season and was well clear of the 3rd horse home over this trip last week.

The (14.15) has another pair of trackers with Perfect Swiss and Parallel World. Neither going at much of a price with the former who was noted back on the turf at Ponty having had a fine campaign since. However, never in our price bracket and he’s another for you lumpers.

The (15.45) apprentices looks the most open race. When Red Stripes decides to stick his best foot forward, must be considered a handicap snip on old form here. He’s being made favourite for this one with in form Laura Pearson up top. Nevertheless hasn’t looked ready to strike and Scott Dixon’s Gossip looks a decent wipes yer face price. He won readily over C&D on penultimate run before fading NTO over 6f in a classified stakes. Back down to the 5f has a nice high draw to make all where they do go well from here.

Wolves looks to have better priced propositions and we’ll look there for our selections.

Back in the morning with Southwell around 9.00am.

For those on the £1k to £10k annual challenge, it’s currently over a 40% win/place rate and our bank is £8913.04 with an ROI of over 45% and current stakes £107.66 EW
