Horse Racing Selections – 8th October 2020
Thursday’s action comes from Ayr on the turf with All Weather action at Chelmsford & Southwell.
Up at Ayr, there’s a few short priced trackers going with the likes of Danzan going in the (14.10) and dropped two grades by Tim Easterby. Nonetheless another tracker in that one is Mike Smith’s, Black Friday who has gone well since coming over from Karen McLintock’s yard. He drops back to the 6f for the first time in 3 runs since winning a C5 over the C&D and more like it at better than wipes yer face value?
In the (14.40) Kodimoor is one we have looked at in the past. Mark Walford’s yard were uncharacteristically behind the pace after the April lockdown and have never really got going since in these 7f races where he seems to excel. A winner we have had in this is Lagenda who goes for Ben Curtis, albeit he tends to be more of an early season type and shown nothing since that win for us under Danny Tudhope. It’s not really the sort of C6 to get involved in 🙂
A few of you have commented on the staking strategy at the moment. TBH we have built the pot significantly through the summer and October is a month notorious for some odd results as the turf peters out and the AW begins to kick in on our ‘transitional month’. It’s a year challenge, therefore I am loathe to get too heavily involved at the moment. Hope that clarifies the position 🙂
We’ve another tracker going there and one on the AW at Southwell of interest.
