I’m A Celebrity Betting

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here began two nights ago with 10 celebrities now firmly ensconced deep into the Australian jungle to begin their fight to be crowned King or Queen of series 14.

If the show is as entertaining as last year we are in for a real treat over these coming weeks.

The early favourite is former Fulham and Hull City footballer Jimmy Bullardavailable to back at 3.05 – a popular character off the field, it’s easy to see why he is leading the way before he enters the unknown. He has a warm personality, and will prove to be popular with both campmates and the public – has proved as squeemish as they come leaving poor old Mel to all the tasks on Day 1.

We see no reason why Bullard won’t make the final, but I don’t expect his odds to shorten dramatically during the first few days and would prefer to see how he comes across on screen before taking short odds.

Another likeable celebrity is Craig Charles available at 6.4 – currently playing the character Lloyd Mullaney in popular ITV soap Coronation Street but equally well known for his role in popular 90’s sitcom Red Dwarf. He is a down-to-earth scouser with an outgoing personality, and we see him making the final too, and quite possibly being crowned the overall winner.

Representing the girls first of all we have TV personality and model Melanie Sykes available at 8.6. Melanie will place better than the other girls due to her relaxed and confident northern spirit, if she can handle jungle life she may even have a chance of winning too.

Following on we had TOWIE’S Gemma Collins available at 18.0, she  was well be worth keeping a watchful eye on due to her many followers on Twitter. However……..she’s done a bunk already and anyone getting her at the first to leave have been well rewarded!!!!

Then we have Nadia Forde available at 17.2, who will be unknown to many, her chief claim to fame being a romantic liaison with golfer Rory McIlroy, and appearing in FHM. Originating from Dublin, very little is known about her, so her chances of winning are very slim. Unknown young females don’t usually do very well, but she could be worth watching for a potential romance.

Moving on, Kendra Wilkinson available at 24.0 also enters the jungle with little chance of winning. She’s a former Playboy model and has her own reality TV show in the states.  Simply put, we do not rate her chances at all as that is not the profile of a winning contestant.

Last up for the girls we have Vicki Michelle available at 40.0, she is an actress from TV sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo! and  cannot see her lasting long either.

Rapper Tinchy Stryder available at 12.0 enters the camp as this series’ cool character. Keep an eye on Tinchy as the series takes off, he could potentially achieve a final slot if he plays it cool and calm, which  he probably will.

Sixty-eight-year-old newsreader Michael Buerk available at 18.0 also finds his way into the jungle, the self-confessed snob has recently revealed to the press that he thinks the experience will help him ‘take life less seriously’. That is an interesting viewpoint – he could prove a long shot each way?

Last but not least we have superbike race champion’Foggy’Carl Fogarty available at 17.5. Although he is not so familiar with the limelight, I would observe Carl during the first few days, and see whether he blends into camp with a strong personality, or a shy retiring one.

Suggested Bets

Back Mel Sykes at 8.6

Back Michael Buerk each-way at 18.00
