Ladbroke Hurdle
Today sees the £150,000 Ladbroke Hurdle at Ascot where the rain has led to strength sapping conditions.
We featured the chances of Brian Ellison’s Totalize earlier this week, who likes the ‘damp; conditions, however the recent downpours have made it a quagmire and it will probably take a different kind of horse to win under these conditions?
Ascot 15.35…..WILLOW SAVIOUR was a winner for the Skelton father and son team (pictured) last time out at Musselburgh. Racing prominent, driven clear before the last and won very easily. He’s previously shown he can perform in the heavy at Exeter and so looks a good EW bet and available at an early bird best priced 12/1 with Betfred. Ellison’s Totalize is still available at around 9/1.
Flat racing today at Lingfield and Dundalk and we have just two selections lined up for this afternoon….

Lingfield 14.35….An open looking race in which we see Mark Johnston’s GALICIAN featuring prominently. He’s been consistent so far on the AWT and can go close again at a best priced EW 10/1 with Skybet. Danger may come one who he has beat…Dick Doughtywylie was a closing second to Aussie Reigns last time out and available at a shorter priced 5/1 with bet365.
Lingfield 15.40…..Rod Millmans’s MODEM was a runner-up over track and trip earlier this month. He made a promising start to his career when third on debut at Ffos Las and improved on that when fifth in a much stronger event at Windsor…… can go one better this time at a best priced EWsaver option at 4/1 with Skybet.
