- No European distraction…..
Liverpool have had no distractions this season following the early Capital One Cup elimination. Players look fresh and Rodgers has spent more time on the training ground, imposing his methods.
Clearly, playing in the Champions League is a must for Liverpool and the greater rewards from that will enable Rodgers to add to his squad.
- Suárez and Sturridge…..
Liverpool have the the top two leading goalscorers in the Premier League this season with Luis Suárez and Daniel Sturridge. Suárez, being on course for the Golden Boot having scored 23 times in the league alone, while Sturridge is in second spot with 16 goals. If Rodgers can keep both forwards fit and scoring, Liverpool have a strong chance of winning the title.
- Stevie G….
Liverpool’s veteran captain now has altered his game to become more defensive and protective of the back four, whilst still inspiring from the back. It maybe now or never in terms of defining his career.
- Easy run in….
Liverpool may benefit from a comfortable run-in to the title, having played all of their main rivals away from home. That’s with the exception of Manchester United who can only dream of catching Liverpool.
The Gooners have been battered, whilst Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham must yet visit with trepidation. There run in through April, May means Liverpool face most of the bottom half over the final weeks of the season.

Having struggled early last season, Rodgers has stuck to his philosophy. His signings are sourced to play his system and the rewards are now coming to fruition.
Coutinho has made a significant difference and his early season injury was certainly felt. Simon Mignolet has been sure and meant that Pepe Reina hasn’t been missed.
Rodgers has made Liverpool a side that look capable of winning the title far sooner than anyone could have imagined?
