12.40 Foundation Developments Novices’ Handicap Hurdle (4) 2m7f118y

Timeform Top Rated:
131p 5. WALT Neil Mulholland Noel Fehily
130p 8. TRANS EXPRESS Susan Gardner Lucy Gardner (3)
129 1. RED INFANTRY Ian Williams Tom O’Brien

Analyst’s Verdict:
Red Infantry was far from disgraced when fourth at Cheltenham a month ago having helped contribute to a good gallop, and though his new mark has kicked in, he should be very competitive. Walt is a likely improver on handicap debut, while Thursday’s Exeter winner Trans Express would be a massive player under a penalty if allowed to take his chance.

1.15 GL Events Owen Brown Graduation Chase (2) 2m5f8y

Timeform Top Rated:
168 4. HAMMERSLY LAKE Nicky Henderson David Mullins
163p 3. TOP NOTCH Nicky Henderson Daryl Jacob
161 1. CAID DU BERLAIS Paul Nicholls Sam Twiston-Davies

Analyst’s Verdict:
Top Notch has made a good start in this sphere, adding to his tally in good style at Plumpton last month. He looks sure to do better still and gets the nod to continue on an upward curve as he gains more experience. Stablemate Hammersly Lake and Caid du Berlais can give him most to do.

1.50 BGC Partners Handicap Chase (3) 2¼m175y

Timeform Top Rated:
153p 9. OVERTOWN EXPRESS Harry Fry Noel Fehily
152p 4. DARK FLAME Richard Rowe Andrew Glassonbury
151 11. DUSKY LARK Colin Tizzard Tom Scudamore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Plenty in with a shout in a very open race. Pull The Chord made a solid start to his chasing career when second to a subsequent winner at Ludlow
and can build on that and strike for the Philip Hobbs/Richard Johnson combination. The Colin Tizzard pair Dusky Lark and Ultragold and Harry Fry’s potential improver Overtown Express head the many possible dangers.

2.25 JLT Long Walk Hurdle (Grade 1) (1) 3m97y

Timeform Top Rated:
179 7. UNOWHATIMEANHARRY Harry Fry Barry Geraghty
176 4. PTIT ZIG Paul Nicholls Sam Twiston-Davies
176 8. UN TEMPS POUR TOUT David Pipe Tom Scudamore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Unowhatimeanharry built on a remarkable campaign last season when running out an impressive winner at Newbury last month, showing a decisive
turn of foot for a stayer, and he can firmly stamp his authority on the staying-hurdling division with another success. Alex de Larredya and Ptit Zig both bring similar form to the table and are expected to fight out minor honours.

3.00 Lavazza Jolie Silver Cup Handicap Chase (Listed) (1) 2m7f180y

Timeform Top Rated:
171p 13. GO CONQUER Jonjo O’Neill Richard Johnson
169 6. IRISH SAINT Paul Nicholls Nick Scholfield
168 7. THE DRUIDS NEPHEW Neil Mulholland Tom Scudamore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Go Conquer ran a blinder when a close second behind a subsequent Grade 2 winner on his return here last month and looks a big player with this extra distance likely to suit. There are dangers aplenty, headed by Eduard and The Druids Nephew, who are potentially well treated.

3.35 Wessex Youth Trust Handicap Hurdle (Grade 3) (1) 1m7f152y

Timeform Top Rated:
164p 19. GOLDEN SPEAR A. J. Martin Donagh Meyler (3)
163p 12. MEET THE LEGEND Dan Skelton Harry Skelton
162 5. QUICK JACK A. J. Martin J. J. Slevin (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Consul de Thaix shaped really well on his return earlier this month and is open to plenty of improvement after only a handful of career starts. He gets the nod in a highly-competitive affair. Golden Spear, Meet The Legend, Jolly’s Cracked It and Modus make up the shortlist.
