The start of a new week that will finish off with a couple of days at Goodwood – this afternoon sees meets at  Carlisle, Redcar with a couple of evening meets at Windsor & Leicester.

A conundrum at Carlisle with one we have backed twice before (on easy going) who we had heard was likely to be a handicap ‘good thing’ this term – Kupa River goes in the 15.45 who started the season on 82 and now ranks 79….he lost his maiden tag at Listowel on the heavy for Pat Prendergast and then maintained that progress with a 2nd to Maarek on handicap debut off 88. That one now ranks 98 and had a 5lb claimer up top that day.  The ‘speedmeisters’ rate him a lofty 97 and there’s 115 in his pedigree so we think there it least scope for improvement over the coming months with most sprinters progressing with age as they fill out. Today they’re running him at 8f – a trip he lost his maiden at……some of you like to back our selections for three runs but we still think he will be targeted at a decent sprint on easy going later and will be watching out for that now the early easy spring surfaces have gone in this ‘mini heatwave’.

All in all a very quiet day from us and we’ll see what tomorrow brings…..any FREE SERVICE MEMBERS looking to receive  selections……..just follow the UPGRADE link

6.15 Bet Online Now! Starsports.Bet Fillies’ Novice Stakes (4) 5f21y

Timeform Top Rated:
91p 2. COME ON LEICESTER Richard Hannon Ryan Moore
90p 7. KADIZ Richard Hughes Shane Kelly
78p 3. ELIEDEN Gay Kelleway Luke Morris

Analyst’s Verdict:
Come On Leicester cost a pretty packet at the Breeze-Ups and showed enough on debut at Ascot to suggest she will win a race or two. Kadiz was a bit disappointing at Salisbury following a promising debut, but she may well get back on track now fitted with a hood. Implicit could be the pick of the debutantes.

6.45 British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes (4) 6f12y

Timeform Top Rated:
91p 7. SATISFYING Richard Hughes Shane Kelly
73 8. SESAME Tom Dascombe Martin Harley

Analyst’s Verdict:
For the most part, Mark Johnston’s 2-y-os have been typically sharp this season and Main Edition looks the part on paper. The booking of Ryan Moore adds to her appeal and it will look highly significant if the market vibes are upbeat. Satisfying shaped with a good deal of promise on debut at Ascot and is a much-respected main danger. Oona and Ring Out The Bells are other noteworthy newcomers.

7.15 British Airways Flying With Confidence Course Fillies’ Handicap (3) 1m3f99y

Timeform Top Rated:
104 1. COLONIAL CLASSIC James Fanshawe Daniel Muscutt
103 2. ALWAYSANDFOREVER Luca Cumani Ryan Moore
103 3. DI ALTA Ed Walker Pat Cosgrave

Analyst’s Verdict:
The unxposed Alwaysandforever failed to progress on her seasonal reappearance at Wetherby but this well-bred filly remains unexposed and is taken to make a winning handicap debut. She made all in a match at Brighton under Ryan Moore on her sole 2017 start and will probably be allowed an easy lead given that Colonial Classic and Di Alta are usually held up.

7.45 Weatherbys Hamilton Leisure Stakes (Listed) (1) 6f12y

Timeform Top Rated:
134 6. THE TIN MAN James Fanshawe Tom Queally
127 1. GIFTED MASTER Hugo Palmer Ryan Moore
127 5. PROJECTION Roger Charlton Kieran Shoemark

Analyst’s Verdict:
The Tin Man is one of the best sprinters in the business when firing on all cylinders. Indeed, he landed a stellar renewal of the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot last summer and, having landed this race on his 2016 seasonal reappearance, he clearly goes well fresh. James Fanshawe’s charge should have too many guns for Projection and the admirable Gifted Master.

8.15 Call Star Sports On 08000 521321 Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (5) 1m31y

Timeform Top Rated:
93p 2. AGROTERA Ed Walker Pat Cosgrave
85p 12. SOLAR GOLD Charles Hills James Doyle
75 5. ELENORA DELIGHT Marco Botti Martin Harley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Agrotera improved markedly from her debut when second at Ascot nearly 3 weeks ago, and sets a good standard. Solar Gold is well bred and likely to win a race before long, while Margie’s Choice can’t be discounted, either.

8.45 Follow Us On Twitter @starsports_bet Handicap (5) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
87p 6. KIRKLAND FOREVER Eve Johnson Houghton David Probert
86 2. DANGEROUS ENDS Brett Johnson Callum Shepherd
85 3. ESSENAITCH David Evans John Egan

Analyst’s Verdict:
The most appealing of these is Kirkland Forever, who shaped well on return/debut for new yard at Lingfield recently and, on that evidence, she certainly has races in her off this sort of mark. Essenaitch has put in solid shifts over C&D the last twice and is expected to be in there pitching once again, while Biotic is capable of a bold show off this mark if on-song following a break.
