Rose aims to bloom in Nedbank Challenge
Justin Rose has recharged his batteries and is relishing this week’s Nedbank Challenge in South Africa.
Having enjoyed a stellar season securing his first major title in the US Open at Merion in June, he took a break from playing for around a fortnight to enjoy a well-earned rest.
We’ll see how this week goes and I’m just going to take it slow and steady, trying to play my way into a bit of form this week.

However, Rose is now champing at the bit to challenge for further honours when he takes his place on the course at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City where he is set to face tough opposition in the shape of Race to Dubai and FedEx Cup series winner Henrik Stenson, Charl Schwartzel and Luke Donald.
Despite claiming he will have to blow the cobwebs off in the early rounds, Rose is hoping to be in contention for the title come the final round on Sunday.
“I’ve had two weeks off back home and haven’t been able to practice, so I’m knocking off a bit of rust,” he said. “We’ll see how this week goes and I’m just going to take it slow and steady, trying to play my way into a bit of form this week.”
Rose is 13/2 to win the Nedbank Challenge, Henrik Stenson can be backed at 3/1 Schwartzel is 6/1 and Donald 14/1
