Nottingham Timeform : August 11th 2015
Three selections for Premium Member’s yesterday gave a nice 8/1 winner, 15/2 place and a non-runner. Today we have no selections so just feature Nottingham Timeform for today’s meeting.
Our FREE advice for that meeting goes in the 7.15 and is second top rated according to the meisters….DESERT LAW is the top-rated horse in the field off a rating of 100.
He won the Epsom dash back in June and was upped for that win then followed that up with subsequent good efforts at The Curragh and Ascot.
Despite that he still looks ahead of these rivals and goes today at around 6/4 for the ‘lumpers’ amongst you?

Today’s Nottingham Timeform….
5.15 Today’s Racing Just £10 With RacingUK Apprentice Handicap (6) 1¼m50y
Timeform Top Rated:
78+ 1. GREEN ZONE Nigel Tinkler Anna Hesketh
76 2. HIGHLIFE DANCER Mick Channon Daniel Cremin
75 10. LOOK HERE’S AL Sarah Hollinshead Paddy Pilley
Analyst’s Verdict:
Green Zone has slipped to an attractive mark following a low-key start to the season, and the 4-y-o left the impression that he’s ready to capitalise on the handicapper’s mercy when hitting the crossbar at Newcastle last week. Kantara Castle could be the one for the forecast following his decent effort at Redcar, while Look Here’s Al and Nifty Kier also warrant consideration.
5.45 BDN Construction Nursery Handicap (5) 6f15y
Timeform Top Rated:
85p 2. TRIKINGDOM Ed Walker Neil Callan
84 3. DAWAA Mark Johnston Silvestre De Sousa
84 6. SIR THEODORE Dave Morris Shane Gray
Analyst’s Verdict:
War Queen built on her fairly-encouraging debut fifth when successful at Hamilton, and given she still holds a Lowther entry, can be expected to go on improving now tackling a nursery. Fellow handicap debutants Trikingdom, Dawaa and Jumeirah Star are feared most.
6.15 British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (4) 6f15y
Timeform Top Rated:
99p 3. TRIBESMAN David Brown Oisin Murphy
98 4. RACQUET Richard Hannon Kieran O’Neill
97 5. SIXTIES SUE Mick Channon Silvestre De Sousa
Analyst’s Verdict:
Imperious One overcame inexperience when making a successful debut at Windsor last month, so is taken to remain unbeaten. There are promising rivals, though, particularly taking Musselburgh winner Tribesman providing he’s none the worse for a 4-month break.
6.45 BDN Construction Handicap (5) 1¾m15y
Timeform Top Rated:
87 5. SERENITY NOW Brian Ellison Callum Shepherd (7)
83 2. STATSMINISTER Luke Dace Charles Bishop
82 7. ALWAYS RESOLUTE Timothy Jarvis Patrick O’Donnell (5)
Analyst’s Verdict:
It’s really clicked for Serenity Now in recent weeks, and a 5 lb rise for his Southwell success may not prevent a cross-code 4-timer. Always Resolute arrives here in pretty good order too, while course specialist Hallstatt warrants a second look.
7.15 ebfstallions.com Conditions Stakes (3) 5f13y
Timeform Top Rated:
128 6. WILLBEME Neville Bycroft Andrew Mullen
126 2. DESERT LAW Paul Midgley Martin Lane
122 1. BARRACUDA BOY Tom Dascombe Richard Kingscote
Analyst’s Verdict:
Desert Law can boast rock-solid handicap form in recent months, landing the ‘Dash’ at Epsom in June, and he rates the percentage call with doubts over Willbeme’s current well-being.
7.45 RacingUK Now Available £10 Per Day Handicap (5) 5f13y
Timeform Top Rated:
85 4. HARDY BLACK Kevin Frost Stevie Donohoe
85? 1. TYFOS Brian Baugh Tom Eaves
80 3. SLEEPY BLUE OCEAN John Balding Jim Crowley
Analyst’s Verdict:
Hardy Black has flattered to deceive in the past, but looks to have turned over a new leaf upon tackling sprint trips, and against largely out-of-form rivals, has to be the pick to follow up his Wetherby win. Sleepy Blue Ocean and Tyfos may fight out minor honours.
8.15 Ladies Day On Friday 14th August Handicap (6) 6f15y
Timeform Top Rated:
75 4. ESSAKA Tony Carroll Jim Crowley
74 1. GOADBY John Holt Royston Ffrench
73 10. MIMI LUKE Alan Bailey Eoin Walsh (3)
Analyst’s Verdict:
It’s easy to make a strong case for Essaka as a wide-margin last-time-out winner under a penalty taking on his elders, so he has to be the way to go. Last year’s winner Divertimenti offered a bit more last time, while Synonym also looks to be working her way back to full fitness.
