Willie Mullins could not be happier with the condition of his super-horse Hurricane Fly as his day of destiny draws closer.
The champion hurdler – having won 19 Grade One races to hold the record – is now heading for a hat-trick of Champion Hurdle wins in what many see as the toughest race of his career.
But the tiny terrier is in great form as he approaches the big day.
It’s going to be a great race and he’s going there in absolutely perfect condition.

That could be incredible value for Hurricane Fly as Mullins – the master trainer – is certainly buoyant about his horse.
Last year – having been taken off his feet in the early stages – he rallied brilliantly to beat Rock On Ruby and Mullins made it clear his preparations had been difficult.
But this time around, he said: “He’s in such good form at home we didn’t bother working him yesterday which should have been the first day of work for his Cheltenham countdown.
“It’s going to be a great race and he’s going there in absolutely perfect condition.”
The likes of My Tent Or Yours, Our Conor, Jezki, The New One and Annie Power could all take him on but one of them will need to produce a very special race to lower the colours of the brilliant nine-year-old.

Hurricane Fly is 3/1 with My Tent Or Yours 9/2, Jezki 10/1 ,
Ground conditions have eased slightly at Cheltenham following overnight rain, those good to soft patches identified on Wednesday had been removed from the advance going description on the chase and hurdles courses.
Onto today’s Racing News selections….and an EW opportunity in tonights……
Wolverhampton 19.05……BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY arrives her after a couple of outings over the jumps and Seamus Durack should be able to boot him into a place at a best 8/1 with SeannieMac. Marco Botti’s Magika could also be in the mix at the finish…..held up when favourite last time out and didn’t get produced early enough but was staying on at the finish.
