Saturday Newsletter – 13th April 2019

Scottish Grand National Day up at Ayr today, which happens to be the 4th biggest single gambling race outside of the Grand National, Cheltenham Gold Cup and The Derby.

Again, apologies for the continuing issues we’re having with the Timeform plug-in, bear with us and we hope to be have resolved earlier next week

Today it’s the flat from the 2nd day of Newbury’s Dubai Spring Trials meeting and a watch and see brief for us, in the (15.15) Ripp Orf goes who was noted in our Donny meet tracker notes. Possibly he’s better at the 7f trip where he won a couple of decent handicaps last term but he certainly looks double digit place material.

At Thirsk we’ve been informed by connections that they expect decent things this year from Paddy Elliott who goes in (14.00). 2yo’s not really our boat but they didn’t knock him about at Donny on opening run and came home 8/17 and another who could represent double digit place material. In the Div 2 of that maiden (14.30), Archie Watson looks to have a good crop of 2yo’s and Bailey’s Freedom possibly the one to note in that one?

Members notes are below for our selections with a couple of nice opening meet sprints at Thirsk.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….we’ve now over an early 80% win/place strike rate …..our bank is now £1064.66 and current stakes are now £13.31 EW
