12.15 Unibet Juvenile Hurdle (3) 1m7f216y

Timeform Top Rated:
144p 1. TORPILLO Nigel Twiston-Davies Daryl Jacob
130p 5. PADDY THE CHEF Ian Williams Tom O’Brien
127p 2. FUKUTO David Bridgwater Tom Scudamore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Torpillo ran out a most impressive winner over C&D on British debut last month and should take plenty of beating with further improvement on the cards. Honorable is an interesting runner for a yard that often introduces its nicer types at this venue and he’s selected for the forecast.

12.45 Unibet Handicap Chase (2) 1m7f119y

Timeform Top Rated:
151 1. CAPELAND Paul Nicholls Harry Cobden
150 2. YORKIST Dan Skelton Harry Skelton
148+ 3. POKER SCHOOL Ian Williams Tom O’Brien

Analyst’s Verdict:
Capeland has thrived since sent chasing and, although he’s been hit with a rise for his latest success, there’s still every chance he can extend his unbeaten run in this relatively uncompetitive affair. Poker School heads the dangers with Yorkist not totally ruled out for all his mark leaves little room for manoeuvre.

1.20 32Red Handicap Chase (Qualifier) (3) 2½m10y

Timeform Top Rated:
140p 3. LARRY Gary Moore Jamie Moore
139 2. CREEP DESBOIS Ben Pauling Daryl Jacob
138 5. LITHIC Jonjo O’Neill Jonjo O’Neill Jr. (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Darius des Bois continued his progress when runner-up on his chase debut/return at Ludlow and is entitled to build on that with this drop back in trip likely to suit. Larry is another novice who’s on an upward curve, while Western Miller has claims if not over-doing things this time.

1.50 Unibet Mares’ Hurdle (Listed) (1) 2m3f173y

Timeform Top Rated:
168p 1. LAURINA W. P. Mullins R. Walsh
153 3. SENSULANO Noel Williams Barry Geraghty
151 4. SMAOINEAMH ALAINN Robert Walford James Best

Analyst’s Verdict:
Laurina is a top-class hurdler in the making, and has been found a straightforward opening for her return to action. Sensulano is selected for the forecast.

2.25 Unibet Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 1) (1) 1m7f216y

Timeform Top Rated:
150 1. ELIXIR DE NUTZ Colin Tizzard Tom O’Brien
145 2. GRAND SANCY Paul Nicholls Sam Twiston-Davies
140P 5. RATHHILL Nicky Henderson Barry Geraghty

Analyst’s Verdict:
Elixir de Nutz had his latest success boosted no end when the runner-up shot clear to win readily in a listed race since, so he’s worth a chance to land the hat-trick stepping into Grade 1 company. Impressive Newbury scorer Rathhill is an obvious danger provided the race doesn’t turn into a tactical affair, while both of Paul Nicholls’ representatives are worthy of their place.

3.00 Unibet Veterans’ Handicap Chase (Series Final) (2) 3m37y

Timeform Top Rated:
156 8. ROCK GONE Dr Richard Newland Sam Twiston-Davies
155 16. RATHLIN ROSE David Pipe Tom Scudamore
155 7. ON TOUR Evan Williams Mitchell Bastyan (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Rock Gone hasn’t seen much of the track in recent years but a C&D reappearance second to the reopposing Loose Chips suggests he’s still as good as ever and he’s taken to build on that and land this big pot. Henllan Harri was in top form in the summer and knows what it takes to win a valuable prize here, while the aforementioned Loose Chips should give it his usual good shot from the front.

3.35 32Red.com Handicap Hurdle (2) 1m7f216y

Timeform Top Rated:
145 7. THISTIMENEXTYEAR Richard Spencer James Bowen
144 2. ERAGON DE CHANAY Gary Moore Niall Houlihan (10)
143 5. COURT ROYALE Evan Williams Adam Wedge

Analyst’s Verdict:
A fairly-useful handicapper on the level, Thistimenextyear surpassed his previous hurdles form and arguably should have won when just touched off over C&D last month, looking in control before faltering run-in. He may yet have more to offer in this sphere and earns the vote. Court Royale and the admirable Our Merlin are next best.
