Always Back Winners Selection Results
The Grade 1 Betfair Chase is the feature at Ascot, where clerk of the course Chris Stickels said: “We are fine. We had only a brief shower yesterday, although the ground will be heavy.”
Haydock stages the Betfred Grand National Trial and clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright said: “Unless we get something amazing we’ll be fine. We had 9mm of rain on Wednesday but it was also unbelievably windy but I think we’re capable of taking it.”
Hopefully we’ll continue pick the winners this week, although our 2 drew a blank yesterday……we have plenty in the bank from Tuesday & Wednesday’s selections. We have had a 5/2 and 7/1 winner, then backed that up with 8/1 FAB LOLLY and a monster 25/1, LADIES DANCING that ran up a place finish….
Todays racing has a couple more on offer, with a 10/1 suggestion from The TurfMeister…….
Lingfield 14.15…..Joe Fanning is absolutely buzzing at the moment and there should be more to come from his mount Lilac Tree. He looked good value when winning at this trip at Wolverhampton last time but is a short priced 11/4. The lightly raced Sagesse and Music Man should also have more to offer but we’re looking for value here with SCOTTISH STAR. With Ryan Tate’s allowance taken off he is still well in for his win at this track last time. He gets an EW vote at a best 8/1 available with BetFred.
Haydock 14.55.…. a Grand National Trial on the heavy ground so we need a proven heavy ground performer. Lookin at the entries, the proven are; Across the Bay, Well Refreshed, Nuts N Bolts, Merry King, Loch Ba, Wellforth, Rigadin De Beauchene, Emperors Choice & Wychwoods Brook.
Across the Bay, Wellforth, Wychwood’s Brook, Merry King look to be stacked at the weights and Well Refreshed cannot be relied upon to but a clear round in.
Rigadin De Beauchene’s stable jockey Aidan Coleman has deserted in favour of Emperor’s Choice and Rigadin has been pulled up twice recently.
The process of elimination leaves us with NUTS N BOLTS and coming in off a good break looks well primed and a great EW value with 14/1 available with sponsors BetFred.

Gowran Park 16.40…..HAZARIBAN(nap) looked as though he could be returning to form at Thurles last time……10/1 with SeannieMac
