Saturday’s Horseracing Selections
Yesterday’s horseracing selections saw us post up 5 and just about finish level for the day rescued by our notebook horse, ARAB DAWN who landed us an 11/2 winner.

Today’s Racing Selections…..
Newmarket 13.45……SHAOLIN is one from our notebook and although Seamus Durack’s charge has done all of his winning on the AWT, he’s been knocking on the door on the green stuff and still looks well in. His record is a WIN/PLACE, 11 from 14 runs so looks a cert for a place or better at a current EW 7/1 with SkyBet.
Newmarket 14.20…..Van Percy is from our 12 to follow but although winning first time out for us looks suspect at this extended trip and at a short but best 5/2 with PaddyPower whilst reliable, we will be leaving alone due to the value. If we were looking for place value we’d probably side with HIGHLAND CASTLE who has form on the going and trip. If we forgive him his ‘tailed off’ seasonal debut is value at a best 10/1 with SkyBet.
Newmarket 16.05……Quite simply, PINZOLO is our ante-post Derby bet and if not good enough to win this outright then there is a real problem. Sorry, but it’s no value and a win only best 11/8 with Betfred.
Newmarket 17.15.….Rudi Five One goes at an extended trip and looks a deserved outsider in this company with Oaks entry Miners Lamp and easy winner Talmada. In a seven runner race, we’ll not be betting here……..we know some of you are betting on each of our notebook horses ‘next three runs’…….good luck if you go with Rudi Five One at a best across the board 14/1 with SkyBet.
Doncaster 20.05.……Orbit The Moon is our ‘notebook horse’ but still up the weights and knocking on the door for us since last season. He is ever consistent and should at least make the frame again. However, a note of caution……poorly drawn low where high numbers have a distinct advantage on the straight course RUN WITH PRIDE may be the one to be on. He has an excellent pedigree, drawn high and can progress here……an EW saver at a best 6/1 with Bet Victor.
