It’s the Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster today and yesterday we previewed the hopes of John Hales’ grey, Unioniste.
Doncaster 15.05…….Finishing eighth in the Lexus Chase on his latest start, Unioniste is Paul Nicholls’ sole representative following the defections of Pacha Du Polder and Sam Winner.
However at top of the market we’ll look for some better value and go for MART LANE trained by Dr Richard Newland.
He has ran well since refitted with blinkers and landed a C&D handicap in decisive fashion last time out for which he’s had a 10lb hike?
He’s not been heavily raced over fences and could provide good EW value at around 12/1 with Skybet with 10’s elsewhere.
Donald McCain elects to run Kruzhlinin 8/1 in preference to Our Mick while Gullinbursti 9/1 and not Court By Surprise, is Emma Lavelle’s runner. Fruity O’Rooney, Attaglance, Relax, Harry The Viking and Major Malarkey are the others not declared.
Nicky Henderson runs Roberto Goldback (12/1) while Night In Milan (7/1), Mart Lane (10/1) and The Druid’s Nephew have been popular in the ante-post markets.

Lingfield 14.35……sorry to say but this should be dominated by the leading pair in the market and we just go for THE TICHBORNE off bottom rung.
