Snash wins….advised @ 11/2

A nice opener for the week with Tim Easterby’s SNASH winning the Ayr Gold Cup trial.

David Allan got him home ahead of consistent placer Aberama Gold. Subject to a bit of R4 form the 11/2 morning price when Black Friday was a further withdrawal.

For those on the new 2022/23 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is at £1505.53 with current full stakes at £18.82 EW with over a 46% win/place rate.

The 2022 Turf bank stands at +43.1 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 46% win/place rate.

Today’s Selections

Ayr 16.10

Favourite Quest For Fun has just gone a non-runner.

That leaves C&D specialist Call Me Ginger heading up the pile around 3’s.

Outside of that one tracker Aberama Gold was a close 2nd to the defector on last run and been running well in decent races this term.

Has crept up the weights on the back of those and will look to oppose here. Will stick with another Easterby in the relatively lightly raced 4yo SNASH.

The ex-Charlie Hills G2 runner may still be progressive having ran well enough in the Hunt Cup at Thirsk over 8f on 2nd run for the season.

Dropped back to the 6 was a ready winner at Thirsk on penultimate run. LTO at York looked at tad unlucky in a 7f race at York and drops a grade today.

Should still be in form and with decent RPR’s recorded on quicker going, hopefully still under the radar.

Just about on our limit for this one, David Allan does the honours with a best 11/2 with the race still paying 4 slots.

Ayr 16.10 – Snash (Full Stakes Challenge) – Won advised 11/2
