Spirit Power wins….advised @ 9/2
Jason Hart landed a short priced winner for us yesterday with SPIRIT POWER going off at 5’s. She showed good qualities to get back up when headed in a ding dong battle with Qaaraat right up to the line 🙂
For those on the £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, its currently over a 39% win/place rate and our bank is £9091.97 with an ROI of over 800% and current stakes £113.64 EW

Today’s Selections
Southwell 16.40
Don’t often back this short but Eric Alston is always of note early season.
SPIRIT POWER ran well enough behind our winner Smokey on re-appearance to suggest with a modicum of improvement can take this one at the expense of some ‘well raced’ looking sorts in this one.
Passional looks to be going off favourite but although has been an improver, has been busy and the latter gets a 5lb pull to reverse that. Jason Hart was close up in race LTO and when pushed along at the halfway mark, stayed on well to be in the mix at the expense of those well weighed ahead with the apprentices claims.
The trainer hasn’t had many down here over the last couple of seasons, but prior has placed them to good effect here. LTO recorded an RPR of 70 and last couple of seasons has generally followed up afterwards, as when beating Archimedes here in 2019 and Becker at Kempton this time last year.
Jason Hart does the steering and as yesterday with DD, prepared to take wipes yer face 9/2 available across the board.

We’ve backed Bond Angel on last two runs and goes at lumping prices in this one. Sure to be close down in grade on those last two outings will leave alone on at 4’s.
CUSTARD THE DRAGON is one we have been following racing over ‘inappropriate’ 8f and reduced his handicap accordingly. Had a nibble for a 2nd placed finish in a 7 runner LTO behind a strong looking Equidae.
Noted pre Xmas, all his best and wins have come at the 7 trip where he last won in January of a mark of 70 and Jan 2109 won off 81. He’s a horse who knows the track well with 17 runs/7 wins/11 places over this C&D. On penultimate run was held up a good way when a 4l 5th of 8 behind Cheat.
Joe Fanning gets back up top who ran 2nd pre-Xmas in a C6 recording his best RPR for the season. He then wasn’t disgraced here when 4th in a C5 in January.
Significantly his mark has dropped to 7 below that C4 win here over the trip this time last year. In that he came off the back of a good pace and again meets Iva Reflection likely to do the same here.
There’s again better than wipes yer face 6’s with the majority paying 3 slots to record this evening
