Hertha Berlin v Hoffenheim: 16:30
hertha Berlin v Hoffenheim

Hertha Berlin look burnt out after putting so much effort into the first half of the campaign. and although Jos Luhukay’s men have stayed clear of the relegation dogfight, they are looking increasingly vulnerable.

The capital club have lost their last four matches, and have picked up a solitary point from their last five games at their Olympiastadion. Top scorer Adrian Ramos isn’t fully fit, and has scored just twice in his last eight games.

Hoffenheim have the same number of points as Hertha (36), but they are playing with much more verve and freedom, giving Bayern an almighty scare in a 3-3 draw at the Allianz Arena last week and have taken seven points from their last three games.

Their defence is still horrendous, but they have so much firepower with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Kevin Volland that they can often paper over the cracks.

Hoffenheim have also been given a morale boost this week, with popular midfielder Boris Vukcevic visiting the training ground for the first time since a serious car accident in 2012.

Hoffenheim’s last eight games have featured at least four goals, and with both teams defending badly I can see a repeat here. It’s also worth noting that the teams shared five goals when Hertha won 3-2 at Hoffenheim earlier in the campaign.

West Ham v Liverpool 16:00

WEst ham v liverpool

Liverpool have won seven and lost just one of the last ten Premier League games against West Ham.

The Reds’ vast collection of victories over West Ham features a heap of half-time/full-time doubles. Five of the seven successes mentioned in the above stat saw them leading after both 45 and 90 minutes, the latest being their 4-1 Anfield triumph.

West Ham have been behind at the break in five of the last six fixtures that they have lost at the Boleyn Ground, including all three in 2014, while Liverpool were ahead at half time in five of their last six league encounters.

Liverpool have scored 88 goals this season, a record for any team after 32 Premier League matches with a league-high 60{70aeb3532cb26dbe277d25ea128ebb74de84b9bd22e1583b0eb1b73768e061f6} of their goals being scored in the first period.

Stats suggest that they net once in every five shots, the top tier’s sharpest average and they’re on their eight-game winning streak, bagging three or more goals on seven occasions.

Their away figures are even fiercer, firing three or more in four successive road dates. West Ham sit joint-second in the clean sheet table on 13, but have shipped three or more ten times, six of those at home.

Liverpool have notched exactly three on three of their last four trips to east London, despite finishing a lowly seventh in the seasons of two of those visits.
