We’ve just one selection today…..down at Naas……over the sticks……where Willie Mullins has two runners in the Grade 2 Paddy Power Shops Better Value Novice Hurdle (3.25)
City Slicker, the mount of Tony McCoy is the only three-time hurdle winner in the race, however, City Slicker’s four wins – one bumper and three hurdles – have all been achieved going righthanded.
Mullins quoted, “He isn’t the easiest of rides, so we’ll have to see how he fares going the other way. He’s well treated at the weights. Vicky De L’Oasis would prefer better ground, but she’s quite well in on ratings and dropping in trip might help on the ground.”
However, we look to the Book Online Handicap Chase for our only runner today…..
Naas 16.30……Witness Of Fashion is in excellent form and still on a low mark from which he should go close again from his lowly mark. However, the trainer jockey combo have not much success around here so we look for a value EW pick in CARRY EACH OTHER. Bryan Cooper’s mount should strip fitter this time when beaten 15l into second at Punchestown last time out….best EW value at 6/1 with SeannieMac
Cheltenham Betting Latest….
My Tent Or Yours is a 5/1 chance for the Champion Hurdle with the race sponsors while Jezki is a 11/1 shot.
AP McCoy is 8/1 to be the top jockey at the Cheltenham Festival while Ruby Walsh can be backed at 4/7, Noel Fehily at 33/1 and Bryan Cooper at 14/1.
