Echo Express gave in-form Nick Richards a winner at Hexham for any of our lumper followers. With No EW members selections yesterday it’s straight into Thursday’s cards with Warwick, Newcastle & Taunton on offer.

At Taunton, Philip Hobbs gave us a nice winner last week and Roll The Dough looks solid wipes the face EW value in the (14.10). However, there’s a few chase debutants in that one who could step up to the plate at big prices, namely Marble Moon, Sackett, Frozen Flame & Kentford Heiress – any one of those could throw a curved ball in in this 14 runner.

There’s two selections today for members, one from Warwick and the last from Newcastle for which there is supporting Timeform below….

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….we’ve now over a 36% win/place strike rate with an ROI of nearly 25%…..our bank is now £1091.29 and current stakes are now £13.64 EW

12.10 Best Odds Guaranteed At 188Bet Handicap Hurdle (5) (D.I) 2½m133y

Timeform Top Rated
108§ 5. MURCHISON RIVER Sam England Jonathan England
107 9. LASTIN’ MEMORIES Sandy Forster Jamie Hamilton
106 1. ART OF SUPREMACY Micky Hammond Emma Smith-Chaston (10)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Murchison River looked far more straightforward in cheekpieces when off the mark in this sphere at Leicester a week ago, and in the hope the headgear works again, is taken to follow up under a penalty. Patience Tony is feared most in a race lacking depth.

12.40 Best Odds Guaranteed At 188Bet Handicap Hurdle (5) (D.II) 2½m133y

Timeform Top Rated
109 10. HERECOMESNELSON Katie Scott Callum Bewley
108 2. DIGGIN DEEP Stephen Michael Hanlon William Kennedy
107 11. MILLROSE BELL Victor Thompson Tommy Phelan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Diggin Deep was well on top at the finish when making a successful stable debut at Musselburgh last month and a 10 lb rise ought not to prevent a very bold follow-up bid. Samtu was third in that race and is entitled to finish slightly closer this time, but a bigger threat may emerge from Herecomesnelson, with this slight step up in trip in his favour.

133p 4. COURT MASTER Michael Scudamore Brendan Powell
127p 1. HIGHLAND HUNTER Lucinda Russell Blair Campbell (5)
122p 5. DIGER DAUDAIE Charlie Longsdon Jonathan Burke

Analyst’s Verdict:
Though slightly underwhelming on debut, Bubbles of Gold was entitled to need the run when mid-field in a bumper and this switch to obstacles now up significantly in trip will be much more up his street, so he gets the vote in a fascinating novice hurdle. Ayr-winner Highland Hunter is a big danger along with Court Master but, in truth, a case could be made for the whole field.

1.45 Bet & Watch At 188Bet.co.uk Novices’ Chase (3) 2m75y

Timeform Top Rated
155p 2. STOWAWAY MAGIC Dan Skelton Harry Skelton
152p 4. RAVENHILL ROAD Brian Ellison Danny Cook
151p 1. HAWK HIGH Tim Easterby William Kennedy

Analyst’s Verdict:
An interesting novice chase with the vote in favour of Stowaway Magic. He made little fuss justifying short odds at Stratford recently and, with the drop back in trip holding no fears (runnerup over this sort of trip on return) he can make a bold bid. This is a competitive race though, with Ravenhill Road and Hawk High both fancied to play their part.

109 7. CHOOCHOOBUGALOO Sam England Jonathan England
108 1. STEEL CITY Michael Easterby William Kennedy
107+ 6. LUCARNO DANCER Donald Whillans Callum Bewley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Handicap-debutante Tigeralley could be the answer taking on a largely exposed bunch. Choochoobugaloo can win one of these if she continues to hold her form, while Steel City also needs to be considered back from a break given he retains handicapping scope.

2.55 188Bet Mobile Bet10 Get10 Handicap Chase (Qualifier) (4) 2m7f91y

Timeform Top Rated
131 8. BLAKERIGG Nicky Richards Brian Hughes
129p 3. OVERWORKDUNDERPAID Charlie Longsdon Jonathan Burke
129§ 1. NEWTOWN LAD Michael Scudamore Brendan Powell

Analyst’s Verdict:
A winning pointer, Overworkdunderpaid was fair without getting his head in front over hurdles. However there were definite signs of promise to glean from his chase debut effort at Ffos Las early last month and, with the return to this sort of trip expected to suit, he is fancied to come out on top. Blakerigg is feared most having scored on return, ahead of Orioninverness who is proving consistent.

113p 1. BALLY CONOR Ruth Jefferson Brian Hughes
111 6. JUST CALL ME AL Gillian Boanas Ross Chapman (3)
107 2. ALL HAIL CAESAR Rebecca Menzies Nathan Moscrop (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Bally Conor showed a terrific attitude to come out on top in a decent contest at Ayr last month and looks capable of defying a penalty with further progress on the cards. The one lurking as a main danger is Olly Murphy’s Bon Calvados, who very much takes the eye on pedigree being a half-brother to high-class chaser Saint Calvados.
