Todays racing will have plenty of eyes on the bumper at Navan today with Quevega’s brother Vivega set to make his debut. Like the five-time Cheltenham Festival winner, he is trained by Willie Mullins.
Mullins says, “He was slow to mature but is ready to start off and has been pleasing us. Whether really testing ground will suit remains to be seen.”
My Tent Or Yours is 9/2 with Paddy Power to warm up for next month’s Stan James Champion Hurdle with a win at Kempton today. His rivals are now down to 13 with Benbecula joining Right Step as a non-runner!!!!
He is the star attraction on Kempton’s ‘jumpers’ bumpers’and Nicky Henderson’s ace, who was last seen winning the Christmas Hurdle on this course, should not disappoint in the kempton.co.uk “jumpers’ bumper” National Hunt Flat Race.
He escapes any penalties for his Grade One-winning exploits over obstacles and Henderson’s decision to swerve gruelling slogs in some of the recognised trials for the two-mile crown looks to have worked out perfectly.
Notoriously the type to get very fresh at home, he ought to get the perfect workout around the Sunbury venue.
