1.10 GT Exhibitions UK Novices’ Hurdle (4) 1m7f171y

Timeform Top Rated
130p 8. THAT’S A GIVEN Philip Hobbs Tom O’Brien
128 9. WILLIAM HUNTER Alan King Tom Bellamy
127+ 1. BRECON HILL Sarah Humphrey Sean Bowen

Analyst’s Verdict:
Course bumper winner That’s A Given seems sure to build on his opening effort over timber so receives the vote. Ferrobin showed plenty in a couple of bumpers so needs considering switched to this discipline, with Flat-recruit Red Royalist completing the shortlist.

1.40 GT Exhibitions Dubai Novices’ Handicap Chase (4) 2m7f129y

Timeform Top Rated
122 3. STRONG RESEMBLANCE Oliver Greenall William Kennedy
112 2. OPECHEE David Bridgwater Daniel Hiskett (5)
109+ 5. MIDNIGHT GEM Sophie Leech Jordan Nailor (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Strong Resemblance didn’t cut much ice over fences for his previous yard but it could be a different story for this stable and he’s well worth siding with off a 4 lb lower mark than when winning over hurdles here 9 days ago. Opechee, who is the sole previous chase winner in this line-up, could be the one to give him most to do.

2.10 Jo Andrews Belated Birthday Wishes Michaelmas Handicap Hurdle (2) 1m7f171y

Timeform Top Rated
152 6. BANDITRY Ian Williams Tom O’Brien
151 5. MYSTIC SKY Lucy Wadham Maxime Tissier (5)
150 1. UNISON Jeremy Scott Matt Griffiths

Analyst’s Verdict:
Banditry is potentially well treated on his return to hurdling judged on his smart Flat form so he looks most interesting. Mystic Sky and Unison are feared most

2.40 George Terry Evelyn Veterans’ Handicap Chase (3) 2m7f129y

Timeform Top Rated
137§ 4. UHLAN BUTE Venetia Williams Brian Hughes
136§ 5. AZURE FLY Charlie Longsdon Jonathan Burke
132 1. KILBREE KID Tom George Mr Noel George (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Uhlan Bute is a tricky customer, but so are the bulk of his rivals, and he looks capable of bossing this field from the front with the benefit of Brian Hughes taking over in the saddle, so he gets a tentative vote ahead of the well treated Azure Fly, with the in-form Mercers Court firmly on the radar.

3.10 Alan & Hilda Peak Handicap Hurdle (5) 2½m145y

Timeform Top Rated
109 2. KINGSTON Tony Carroll James Nixon (7)
108 8. POLARBROOK Derek Shaw Brian Hughes
107 3. DYLIEV Caroline Bailey Sean Bowen

Analyst’s Verdict:
Polarbrook is on a good mark and seems to have been working up his fitness of late, so there’s a strong case for saying he’s ready to take advantage as the subject of a positive jockey change. The in-form Kingston is an obvious danger and Dyliev can get competitive if staying the longer trip.

3.40 GT Family “Junior” Standard Open National Hunt Flat (5) 1m5f148y

Timeform Top Rated
102 5. LOGAN ROCKS Amy Murphy Jack Quinlan
96 10. SAN SEB Stuart Edmunds Ciaran Gethings

Analyst’s Verdict:
The betting will likely be informative here. Cascova has a decent Flat pedigree and gets the vote to make a winning start for Martyn Meade. Shpadoinkle Day, Ahorsewithnoname and Lossiemouth are others with plenty to recommend them on paper, while Logan Rocks is also much respected after his C&D debut second.
