109 7. UP HELLY AA KING N. W. Alexander Lorcan Murtagh
108 13. MAGIC OF MILAN Sam England Ross Chapman
107p 5. BLAYDON Lucinda Russell Blair Campbell (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Blaydon looks to have been brought along with handicaps in mind, staying with the leading group for long enough at Carlisle recently to suggest he can do better still now allotted a mark. He could be worth chancing in a wide-open affair. Magic of Milan, Karamoko and Up Helly Aa King are a trio of others also worth a second look.

117 1. HIDDEN DILEMMA Stuart Crawford Mr B. G. Crawford (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Queens Cave showed plenty in bumpers last season and looks to have been found a good opening for her hurdling debut/reappearance. She’s taken to make the perfect start over timber. Peters Cousin still showed signs of greenness when getting off the mark at Kelso last month and can prove the main threat with further progress on the cards.

110 1. THE ORANGE ROGUE N. W. Alexander Lucy Alexander
107 2. INSTINGTIVE Lisa Harrison Ross Chapman (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Las Tunas probably would have won but for a late fall here last week and can gain compensation providing he’s none the worse. Paddocks Lounge lurks on a very tempting mark back in a handicap and there is a good chance he could strike soon.

129 2. DIVINE PORT Pauline Robson Henry Brooke
128 5. FIDDLERS BOW Julia Brooke Ross Chapman (3)
126 3. CA LE FERRA James Ewart Steven Fox (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Divine Port hasn’t stood much racing in recent times but looked as good as ever when making a winning start over fences at Carlisle on return/yard debut and may still be ahead of the handicapper having won off 2 lb higher over hurdles. Imada makes most appeal of the chasing debutants, while Fiddlers Bow can make the frame again.

136 4. CRIXUS’S ESCAPE Gillian Boanas Brian Hughes
135 2. CORNBOROUGH Mark Walford Jamie Hamilton
133 3. APACHE JACK Stuart Crawford J. J. Slevin

Analyst’s Verdict:
Crixus’s Escape wasn’t disgraced in a slightly stronger race than this on his second handicap start at Bangor last month and looks interesting back down in trip from 3 lb lower. Cornborough should go well in his follow-up bid and is feared most ahead of Bold Emperor.

110+ 3. RIBBLE VALLEY Nicky Richards Brian Hughes
105 2. HONOURARY GIFT James Ewart Steven Fox (5)
101 1. CORRIEBEN REIVER Alistair Whillans Dale Irving (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
A quick turnaround and a step up in class proved Ribble Valley’s undoing at Cheltenham in November, but he’d created a very good impression over C&D prior to that and is well worth another chance. Honourary Gift and Corriben Reiver are last-time-out winners, while Largy Perk and Gracemeadow are interesting newcomers.
