Tukhoom wins….BOG @ 5/1

Jason Hart served us well with a very easy win on Michael Herrington’s TUKHOOM this afternoon. That was followed up with a wipes yer face place with Dawaaleeb and a nice 16/1 placed 3rd home with Ruth Carr’s Suwaan at Ayr. Yes, JPS knobbed us 🙂 on the stable’s first string Shepherds’s Purse but the return was satisfactory.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….it’s now over a 42% win/place strike rate and over a 28% ROI…….our bank is now £1607.00 and current stakes are now £20.09 EW

Today’s Selections

Redcar 15.20

Not often we back in a claimer and but we’ve had TUKHOOM in our tracker since Donny and also one we noted at the back end of last year.

Whilst the value isn’t that great, there’s just about wipes yer face about him as he drops back to the 7f today following a couple of tilts at the mile.

It’s a specialist sort of trip and there’s not many better than Jason Hart over this distance where the charge has placed 4 from 6 times over the last couple of years and an excellent near 80% place record in this grade .

Michael Herrington gets him back out quickly and although he doesn’t have a big yard, he uses Kevin  Ryan’s 7f gallop that accounts for their respective profiles at this intermediate sprint trip.

Redcar 15.55

We’re looking for some ‘double bubble’ from Jason Hart as he gets up top on one of our favourites in Les Eyre’s DAWAALEEB.

Again we’re getting a short shrift with the odds but he’s been uber consistent for us over this track and trip and is weighted significantly better than Give It Some Teddy who was our first winner of the season.

He only just lost out at HQ to Bin Suroor’s Laieth LTO who was a bit ‘underexposed’ having raced in Meydan and ran off a false mark.

It’s part of the cracking Redcar 1 mile qualifier series and a race he only just failed to win last term when losing out to Give It Some Teddy off 7lb worse terms. It was another race when JPS seemed to give him a lot to do and was an ever closing second.

We’ve spoke previous on how highly Les Eyre rates this big Invincible Spirit charge and he should give us another run for the money.

Redcar 15.55 – Dawaaleeb

Ayr 20.45

Another from our tracker and we’ve been waiting for Tom Eaves to get up top on SUWAAN following plenty of bridesmaids from JPS.

There’s not much between him and Burmeze Blazer from the same tracker report  but there looks more risks associated with his hold up style.

Coincidentally Ruth Carr puts JPS up top on Shepherd’s Purse who should ensure some decent pace in the race from trap 6. There’s early money for that one but our thoughts on the jock have been posted on these pages and our selection is a serial placer in class and trip.

Two runs back ran the rejuvenated Duke Of Firenze a decent race when poorly drawn at Thirsk in a C4 and prior ran re-opposing Super Julius to 3/4 length.
