A great pillar to post ride from P J McDonald on today’s advice ULSHAW BRIDGE. Eric Bethell’s charge was advised at 13/2 early doors but appeared friendless after the race went a two paying slot race. Paid 14/1 for those on BOG/SP for a very nice priced winner.

Our other selection Muatadel continues to run well from this paperweight mark (ex mid 60’s 2019) and see no reason shouldn’t stay in form in these 6f ‘moose races‘ 🙂

 

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £1064.04 and current full stakes, unless advised, £13.30 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at +46 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 38% win/place rate. 

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.

Redcar 13.45

Be rude not to have a tinker in a big 20 runner field and see no reason why MUATADEL shouldn’t go well again today.

It’s another big price but his mark still looks attractive based on him having his mark run down from mid 60’s just over 2 years ago by running at 7f and the mile. That seemed to coincide with coming in from Roger Fell with prior best efforts have been at the sprint trips.

LTO was upped to the 7f and still gave his running despite hitting traffic twice through that race. However, previous two runs saw him win at that monster price and a 3rd behind Rose Bandit.

Looks to hold Point Of Woods on previous H2H’s who won at a decent price LTO and not certain to go that well again. Reuniting with Zak Wheatley, he’s the only 7lb claimer on show leaving this one still well treated on old form.

Hopefully another good account and there’s plenty of 22’s with FIVE slots this morning.

After the disappointment of missing Teddy LTO, looking at something that can split or better the two market principals in this one. Eric Bethell’s yard are running to the mark and ULSHAW BRIDGE was one we had a place about in August last year.

Two seasons back was running competitively in C3’s and at the mile he should be effective in this grade where he places at over 50%.Looks to hold Rum Runner, another decent ‘placer’ we have had bits about early this season who steps up in grade today.

PJ McD has an excellent track record here as does the trainer who has a good knack with his milers. There’s plenty of 13/2’s with 3 slots this morning for a half stakes play.
