1.50 Move Over To Matchbook Handicap (6) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
80 6. SIR OX Robert Cowell Luke Morris
78 4. LIEUTENANT CONDE Hughie Morrison Charlie Bennett
75 3. UM SHAMA David Loughnane Laura Coughlan (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Sir Ox was really strong at the finish when when successful over this trip at Lingfield 12 days ago and he could easily shrug off a 6 lb rise. This is an interesting race of its type though, with Lieutenant Conde better than he could show last time, while Biz Markee, Beehaar and Gabrial The Giant are handicap debutants representing successful yards.

2.20 Matchbook Time To Move Over Novice Stakes (5) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
84 2. MOONLIT SEA James Tate Adam Kirby
69p 7. GOLD FLEECE Hugo Palmer Josephine Gordon

Analyst’s Verdict:
While Marco Botti’s newcomers usually come on for a run, Don Jupp is sufficiently appealing on paper to earn the vote in what looks an ordinary contest. Confidence behind him in the betting would certainly look significant. Poor Auld Paddy is another debutant to note in the betting but, as things stand, the selection will probably have most to fear from Moonlit Sea and Gold Fleece.

2.55 Matchbook VIP Fillies’ Handicap (5) 1¼m219y

Timeform Top Rated:
86 2. MAGIC MIRROR Mark Rimell Adam Kirby
85+ 1. VOI Conrad Allen Martin Dwyer
85 8. POWER HOME Denis Coakley Oisin Murphy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Magic Mirror was unlucky to bump into an improver here a fortnight ago and seems sure to give another good account from the same mark now back up in trip. Power Home and Voi are a couple of others to consider.

3.25 Matchbook Casino Handicap (Qualifier) (4) 1¼m219y

Timeform Top Rated:
100 6. WIMPOLE HALL William Jarvis David Probert
99 7. THAQAFFA Amy Murphy Tom Queally
98 2. RED FORCE ONE Paul Nicholls Megan Nicholls (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Technological shaped as if still in good form when runner-up over further at Wolverhampton 16 days ago and, with the drop back in trip expected to hold no fears, he is narrowly selected to come out on top. Wimpole Hall is frustrating but undoubtedly arrives on a competitive mark if putting it all together, whilst last year’s winner Thaqaffa looks sure to give another good account of himself.

4.00 Matchbook Betting Podcast Handicap (4) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
98 3. ROMAN SPINNER Rae Guest Luke Morris
97 5. FUWAIRT David Loughnane Cameron Noble (5)
97 6. ENTHAAR Stuart Williams Rossa Ryan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Winner of a C&D handicap on his final start for Simon Crisford in October, Enthaar looks the way to go following his near miss on debut for new connections at Chelmsford last month. The 4-y-o is still unexposed and is probably capable of a bit better than his current mark would suggest. Roman Spinner goes well here and is expected to put up another bold show, while Florencio also merits respect.

4.30 Matchbook Best Value Exchange Handicap (6) 1m7f218y

Timeform Top Rated:
77 12. CASA COMIGO John Best Kieren Fox
76 11. PERCY PROSECCO Noel Williams Rossa Ryan
76 5. BUTTERFIELD Tony Carroll Franny Norton

Analyst’s Verdict:
Casa Comigo showed improved form to get off the mark at Lingfield 2 weeks ago, the step up in trip the catalyst, and should have more to offer over this distance. Percy Prosecco and Masters Apprentice are feared most.
