Horse Racing Selections – 10th September 2021

Friday sees more of the St Leger meet with Chester and Salisbury to back that up on the turf.

Last night’s thunderstorms has shifted the going on the Roodee with a couple of predicted non runners to press. Am looking at one who does like it there in these conditions as our sole bet of the day.

As I said there didn’t look a ton of value yesterday but at least we came out with a winner. Affected by non-runners, Coronation Cottage was our 3rd winner of the season at Chepstow and added a tad back into the pot.

Back in the morning just before 9.00 am…….a slight lie in for the ‘bed wetters’ 🙂

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £969.15 and current full stakes, unless advised, £12.11 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at +31.14 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 36% win/place rate.

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.

  1. Peter Higgins (Captain hindsight) had this to say on 8th Sept. ‘ It makes me laugh we need a swing in our favour, why not try and lay them’. Gary then asked him if he laid yesterdays winner. The ‘Captain’ said ‘No it was best drawn horse in the field with a 16% win ratio’. Only seven ran Captain and imo, which i admit i know very little, it would have won wherever it was drawn. If the horse had got beat the Captain would have come out with something to say why it lost and most definitely would have laid it.

You are losing credibility captain, the computer still with Babbage, the first lay hits the buffers, no amazing tips, just hindsight.Let Gary do the selecting Captain and enjoy the ride. Leave the smart arse comments to me and enjoy the profits which will come don’t worry about that.

    • It seems I arrived too early for the Bants yesterday 🤣

    • Ian (smart arse) Roddison, well first of all stats don’t lie they are in the record books, as for yesterday Parry was again the best drawn horse in the field with a stall strike rate of 18.8%
So getting on one in five wins the races, what I did say to Gary about some of his selections was the draw when he was putting up horses with a poor stall draw ie 2.9 win raito now that’s not a stall in your favour over to you SA

  2. Love this!

  3. Two winners in a row. Welcome back haha 😂✌️

  4. Didn’t need to whip you too hard today Gary 🤣 well done – I was getting tetchy as Unibet cut my EP so lets see what the R4 Damage is!

    2/2 Whoop!

  5. Another one for the bed wetting layers. i think that’s right Peter isn’t it.

  6. Nice one Gary.

  7. Nice one, classic variance with 2 in succession 🙂 John

  8. I must admit, I do enjoy when there are plenty comments.

It either means we’ve had a winner or there’s some banter flying around. Today we were treat with both. Joyous
