  1. I wanted to write a quick post whilst I’ve got some time on my hands for anyone new here, to betting/gambling profits or seeking a get rich scheme. As with most of these posts, if you dig around here enough you will find quite a few opportunities (aside from Gary’s great value bets).

So I’ve been here nearly two years now, its been rocky I won’t lie, I’ve been messing around with stake sizes and following the 10k challenge as closely as I can! Obviously, all results vary from person to person (odds/places/stakes etc) so how did I do! Well here is my results.

    https://ibb.co/Q9FYPKf

I joined just after Gary’s first 10k challenge win, and 21/22 finished down, but I could see there was value so continued for another year. How are we doing come Jan 2023 – well, not to Shabby! Bearing in mind bank interest rates where like 2%, the stock market bombed, the crypto market met game of thrones and went stone cold winter on us. I managed to turn a nice profit at 8% ROI (total profit/total stakes).

The only other point I think is worth making is mindset – took me a while and a couple of books to deal with Losing Runs! Caan Berrys books (not touting) and also Chimp Paradox, Thinking Fast and slow, and Football-datas Joseph Buchdahl (again not touting) – Squares & Sharps, Suckers & Sharks: Science, Psychology & Philosophy of Gambling are really good reads.

Final note, betting is not a get rich quick scheme – I’ve been trading football for about 2 years now and am barely making profit, but right now, patience, understanding the markets, staking and self control are pinnacle to making money long term.

    Hope this helps someone

  2. yes it’s a difficult game all right….not the most unshabby year so far!!! 46 bets 3 winners and an overall loss since 01 January, but I suppose it depends where you start the monitoring clock! Gary’s definitely better on the grass Flat season. As has been said before, you could run the same AW races again and again and get different results each time. Let’s hope for a swing into profit before March!

  3. Hi Gary, has todays post failed?
