Royal Variety should be suited by the drop back to 7f and might be worth siding with to make a winning nursery debut under Jamie Spencer. Capla Gilda has already tasted success twice this month and looks sure to figure again for her in-form stable, while the presence of Ryan Moore on Pirate suggests he’s expected to put a poor run last time behind him.

Rossa Ryan is another apprentice who is good value for his claim at present and Desert Frost could be the one to give Rod Millman’s charge most to do ahead of course-specialists Ashpan Sam and Highland Acclaim.

Lady In Question is another who can return to form back over 7f. Corazon Espinado (also due to run at the track on Monday) is another to note.
