2.10 Chantilly Nursery Handicap (Qualifier) (5) 7f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
80 4. PIRATE Richard Hannon Ryan Moore
79 10. VALENTINO SUNRISE Mick Channon David Egan
79 8. CAPLA GILDA Archie Watson Hollie Doyle

Analyst’s Verdict:
Royal Variety should be suited by the drop back to 7f and might be worth siding with to make a winning nursery debut under Jamie Spencer. Capla Gilda has already tasted success twice this month and looks sure to figure again for her in-form stable, while the presence of Ryan Moore on Pirate suggests he’s expected to put a poor run last time behind him.

2.45 British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes (5) 1m113y

Timeform Top Rated:
88 6. NINA PETROVNA Archie Watson Hollie Doyle
84p 5. CAPE ISLAY Mark Johnston Franny Norton
82p 4. WAR EAGLE John Gosden Ryan Moore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Cape Islay and WAR EAGLE both shaped with encouragement on debut and make the most appeal, the former shading the vote. Nina Petrovna has the best form but that was achieved on AW.

3.15 Terry Mills & John Akehurst Handicap (3) 6f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
103 4. HANDYTALK Rod Millman Jason Watson (3)
102 2. DESERT FROST Saeed bin Suroor Rossa Ryan (3)
102§ 3. HIGHLAND ACCLAIM David O’Meara David Probert

Analyst’s Verdict:
Handytalk will likely be suited by the drop back to sprinting and might be worth chancing with Jason Watson taking 3 lb off. Rossa Ryan is another apprentice who is good value for his claim at present and Desert Frost could be the one to give Rod Millman’s charge most to do ahead of course-specialists Ashpan Sam and Highland Acclaim.

3.50 Stanley Wootton Handicap (Qualifier) (5) 1½m6y

Timeform Top Rated:
81 2. AMANTO Ali Stronge Tom Marquand
78 3. BECCA CAMPBELL Eve Johnson Houghton Georgia Cox (3)
78 4. PHOENIX DAWN Brendan Powell Finley Marsh (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
This could be a good opening for Ishallak on his handicap debut. He’s taking on largely-exposed older rivals and the step up in trip will suit. Expect a big run. Amanto and Becca Campbell are players again, while Artic Nel went as if still in form at Redcar.

4.20 Molson Coors Handicap (4) 7f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
95 1. DOURADO Patrick Chamings David Probert
93 7. HEDGING Eve Johnson Houghton Charles Bishop
92 3. SUZI’S CONNOISSEUR Stuart Williams Martin Dwyer

Analyst’s Verdict:
Dourado lost his unbeaten record over C&D early last month, but it’s easy to forgive him that run, and having been freshened up in the meantime, he’s taken to bounce back with a win. Lady In Question is another who can return to form back over 7f. Corazon Espinado (also due to run at the track on Monday) is another to note.

4.55 ROA/Racing Post Owners Jackpot Handicap (5) 1¼m17y

Timeform Top Rated:
83 8. CAMOMILE LAWN Eve Johnson Houghton Charles Bishop
82 1. X RATED Mark Johnston Franny Norton
82 6. FRESH TERMS Ralph Beckett Harry Bentley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Camomile Lawn just failed to reel in Fresh Terms at Chepstow 3 weeks ago and is taken to turn the tables. X Rated may bounce back.

5.25 Racegoers Club 50th Anniversary Handicap (5) 7f3y

Timeform Top Rated:
86 2. ROTHERHITHE Richard Fahey Connor Murtagh (5)
84 3. PORT OF CALL Amanda Perrett Charles Bishop
84 6. N OVER J William Knight David Egan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Rotherhithe was an easy winner of a seller at Leicester on second start for this yard 16 days ago and looks on a good mark back in a handicap. Port of Call made all over C&D last time and is next best ahead of Gainsay.
