Ascot Adventure wins….advised @ 12/1

Back to back winning renewals of the Ayr Bronze Cup for us 🙂

ASCOT ADVENTURE followed our winner last year with Danzan. David O’Meara landed the one-two with Cold Stare following him home. Backed up with our other selection, Tracey Waggott’s Ghathanfar, getting into the enhanced places made it a decent return on the day. Onwards!!!!!

For those on the  2022/23 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank stands at £1199.44 with current full stakes at £15.00 EW with over a 39% win/place rate.

The 2023 Turf bank stands at +26.2 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.

Today’s Selections

Ayr 14.25

Another open looking handicap with 6’s the field and two more suggestions here 🙂

Not many grade winners lining up so expecting something will have to step up and gain a first C2 win.

First up ex-Clive Cox sort ASCOT ADVENTURE now under David O’Meara.

Has placed at 50% from ten outings so far for the yard with a best when running our winner Roundhay Park to 3rd at York.

Backed that up with another good 3rd under Mark Winn and has been campaigned at 7f since .

With a sighter here last month when making some late headway for 4th, dropped to the 6f, will hopefully gain some reward.

Appreciates a good galloping track and, clearly not an ‘unsociable’ type, a decent record when getting cover in these big field handicaps that bodes well for placing.

Ben Curtis looks a sound booking and there’s 12’s and enhanced SIX paying slots this morning.

2nd up is the likely pacesetter with Connor Beasley on GHATHANFAR.

Has run well this term without getting his nose in front and matched up against the former in that race won by Roundhay Park.

Ran unplaced from a poor draw that day but today gets a favourable low draw to make the running.

Has dropped 10lb since running Bielsa a good 3l from the wrong side of the track in his only C2 run this term at York in May.

Always prefer the pace angle first but low/mid draws seem to be the norm so, with both in his favour, hopefully can catch them napping, or at least stay on into those extra places.

There’s 20’s and enhanced SIX paying slots this morning.
