Just Wetherby to look at today and not a whole load of runners….Rose Dobin tends to go well here  and the stable are having a cracking season with over a 15% strike rate.

Monfass should give her a big chance in the 15.05…..not a player for us at around 3’s that only leaves us the 16.45 with more than a double handful of runners and she has an equal chance as any in an awful looking race again with Log On. There’s been some bits of overnight money 12’s to 10’s in a race she won last year with Doktor Glaz who coincidentally also runs in the previous race (16.10)

Hardly any strength in being able to select any of them, it’s a better looking proposition tomorrow with Haydock and Chepstow heavy:)

In the absence of any quality today there’s an excellent article by Kevin Blake on ATR regarding the dominance of the Irish at Cheltenham….read HERE.

Any one looking AW…..the Timeform is up for Newcastle where we will be looking at early season trainers to get us up and running. Kevin Ryan is usually a key figure for us and he seems to have a strong hand at Newcastle with his 3 runners and it would be a surprise if he didn’t notch with one of his three year olds. Bit early for us in the world of three year olds but always worth noting his placements.

5.35 Betway Stayers’ Handicap (2) 2m56y

Timeform Top Rated:
110 1. DUBAWI FIFTY Karen McLintock Joe Fanning
109 5. SWASHBUCKLE Donald McCain Andrew Mullen
108 6. CONTINUUM Peter Hedger Tom Marquand

Analyst’s Verdict:
Dubawi Fifty keeps on pulling out a bit more and there’s a good chance he’ll do so again and enhance his impressive strike-rate. American Gigolo has been doing well on the Flat for his new stable and promises to be suited by this longer trip, while Continuum is another who arrives in form.

6.05 32Red Casino Novice Stakes (4) 1¼m42y

Timeform Top Rated:
89 1. BOBBY K Simon Crisford Oisin Murphy
88p 6. VELVET VISION Mark H. Tompkins Paul Mulrennan
80 2. ARCH GOLD Mark Johnston P. J. McDonald

Analyst’s Verdict:
There was plenty to like about Velvet Vision’s keeping-on second over 1m here on debut last month and she can go one better now with the longer trip sure to suit her on pedigree. Southwell-winner Bobby K has got a bit better with each start and may prove next best ahead of Mark Johnston’s Arch Gold.

6.40 32Red Casino Handicap (2) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
109p 7. VJ DAY Kevin Ryan Andrew Mullen
108 4. PRESTBURY PARK Mark Johnston Joe Fanning
108 6. LORD OF THE GLEN Jim Goldie Phil Dennis (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
This is a significantly stronger race than the C&D handicap Vj Day landed 12 days ago, plus he’s 3 lb out of the weights. However, the first two pulled nicely clear of the rest on that occasion and, moreover, Kevin Ryan’s charge may well find the necessary improvement to strike again. Prestbury Park’s recent reappearance effort was solid and he is feared most ahead of Lord of The Glen.

7.15 Betway Claiming Stakes (6) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
92 1. EXCHEQUER Richard Guest Connor Murtagh (5)
91§ 2. MUJASSAM David O’Meara Daniel Tudhope
85 6. MISHAAL Michael Herrington Paul Mulrennan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Mujassam hasn’t put his best foot forward in handicaps the last twice, but he’s the pick at the weights and was runner-up on his latest start in claiming company at Southwell in January. He is marginally preferred to Exchequer, who sports first-time cheekpieces following a rather disappointing debut for this yard at Lingfield 4 days ago. Mujassam’s stablemate Major Crispies is best of the rest.

7.45 32Red.com Handicap (5) 1m5y

Timeform Top Rated:
85 8. ODDS ON OLI Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
82 2. PAPARAZZI Tracy Waggott Jason Hart
81 1. DOUBLE REFLECTION K. R. Burke Clifford Lee (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Rude Awakening failed to build on his debut promise in 2 subsequent starts as a juvenile, but he can be expected to improve markedly now faced with a stiffer test and moving into handicap company. If there’s confidence behind him in the betting, the hint should be taken. Odds On Oli has hit the crossbar on 3 of his last 4 starts and should again be in the mix, while Paparazzi also merits respect.

8.15 32Redsport.com Handicap (6) 7f14y

Timeform Top Rated:
77 2. VENTURA GOLD Richard Fahey Paul Hanagan
76 5. ELIXSOFT Roger Fell Ben Curtis
75 1. MUSBAQ Ben Haslam Oisin Murphy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Elixsoft improved when winning her last 2 starts in January and should make a bold bid for the hat-trick. Ventura Gold is next best ahead of Dalawyna.

8.45 Betway Sprint Handicap (4) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
99 8. ATHOLLBLAIR BOY Nigel Tinkler Lewis Edmunds (3)
98 11. TOMMY G Jim Goldie Phil Dennis (3)
97 12. LOGI Rebecca Bastiman Phillip Makin

Analyst’s Verdict:
Athollblair Boy looked like following up his victory before just being caught last week and should make another bold bid back down to 6f. Tommy G is capable of making his presence felt off his current mark, while Buccaneers Vault ended last season in top form.
